Chapter 10

Aarnav : are you alright ?

Mitra : yes ! 

Kiara : thank god people ! I'm really scared.

Mitra : don't worry ! We are fine. It happens. Let's go.

They moved towards the car quickly and got inside. They drove to the guest house and kiara said bye to them and left to her room.

Aarnav : come let's go.

Mithra : umm.

Arnav and mithra went to mithra's room. Arnav opened mithra's suit case and took out 2 towels. He gave one to her and he took one. He gave fresh clothes to her as she is shivering.

Aarnav : change your clothes. I'll be back in few minutes.

Mithra : ok ! 

Mithra closed the door as soon as arnav went outside and changed her clothes. She sis drying her hair and arnav came back. He is holding two mugs.

Mithra : what's that ? 

Aarnav : instant soup.

Mithra : we should give it kiara also.

Aarnav : I already gave her. Let's have ours.

Mithra and arnav settled on the couch. 

Aarnav : have it. I'll dry your hair.

Arnav took the towel from her hand and started drying her hair. Mithra recalled the good old days. Tears started falling from her eyes. She felt a familiar kiss on her forehead and she smiled.

Aarnav : come ! Let's go and have dinner.

Mithra : I am not hungry.

Aarnav : why ? What happened ?

Mithra : don't know. Do you know something ? An unknown person told me to leave this village and go away ? And yeah ! He is wearing a pendant similar to that of my mom's on his wrist.

Aarnav : what ? 

Mithra : yes !

Aarnav recalled adarsh's words. He is extremely confused. He came out of his thoughts as mithra tapped his arm.

Aarnav : huh ?

Mithra : won't you eat ?

Aarnav : i will . But along with my girl. Eat some curd rice at-least.

Mithra : no ! 

Aarnav : i will feed you with my hands. It's been a long time since i did that. 

Mithra's eyes welled up. She hugged him and burst out into tears.

Mithra : See ! It's extremely better after we broke the ice between us. Why we are that self-centred ? Is our love that worst ? Can ego separate us ? 

Aarnav : we did a mistake mithra. But i am promising you. No one can separate us ! Not even the god !

Adarsh reached the village and crossed the border. It is extremely dangerous for him to come here but he is left with no choice. He must save his daughter. He can't let his daughter suffer the same way he is suffering. He must save her and he must save her love. He reached the place about which he told aarnav. He looked at the river which is calm and pale. He recalled how it used to be in the 16th century. He recalled how he lost his everything in that river.

Aarnav and mithra had their dinner. 

Aarnav : good night ! See you tomorrow !

Mithra : won't you stay with me ? I want to hug you and sleep.

Aarnav : i would love to . But , it won't be appropriate if someone see's us together. May be we share something between us. But for most of our employees you are the boss and i am an employee.

Mithra felt bad. 

Mithra : ok ! Good night.

Aarnav : good night.

Aarnav walked towards the door but he came back and hugged her tightly. He kissed her for a minute and joined his forehead with her's.

Aarnav : i love you.

Mithra pecked his lips.

Mithra : i love you too.

Aarnav went to his room and layed down on the bed. He stared at the ceiling thinking about adarsh's words and mithra's words. As the clock struck 12:00 am. Aarnav woke up and took his car keys. He slowly went to the parking and unlocked the car.

Mithra is watching him from her room balcony. She understood that he is hiding something . She thought of following him but she is perplexed. Finally she decided to follow him.

Adarsh started removing the spiderwebs and creepers from the place where he once had his lab. The same lab that created a miraculous invention and destroyed him. He tried to open the wooden square door. But he don't have enough strength. He took a rock and started beating it with that.

Aarnav : can i try ?

Adarsh looked at aarnav and moved aside.

 Aarnav opened it. Adarsh smiled.

Adarsh : let's go inside.

Aarnav nodded and turned his mobile flashlight on. They slowly went inside. It is an underground lab . They should get down from around 60 steps.

Aarnav felt nauseous because of pungent smell. He covered his nose with his handkerchief.

Adarsh signalled him to follow him. They stopped at a room which have aluminium doors. He unlocked it with a revolving key. As the door unlocked it revealed half part of the TimeMachine .

Aarnav : what's this ?

Adarsh : wait ! 

Adarsh took out the other half-part from his brief case and connected the two. Soon the time machine started blending in and it is getting turned on.

Aarnav : what's this uncle ? What are you doing ?

Adarsh : it's a time-machine. 

Aarnav : what ? Am i looking like a fool to believe it. It's impossible.

Adarsh clicked something and aarnav vanished. Suddenly he came back again.

Aarnav : wtf ! 

Aarnav is unable to get out of the shock.

Adarsh : mind your language.

Aarnav : sorry ! Uncle ! It's mind blowing. Why you didn't tell us about that ? What's wrong with you ?

Adarsh : this invention is nothing but a destroyer of humanity and emotions.

Aarnav : what ?

Adarsh : in past i got teleported to 16th century because of this. That is where it all started. That is where i met your aunt !

Aarnav : I didn't get you !

Adarsh : You aunt is not from this time-line. She is from 16th century.

Aarnav dropped his handkerchief and stared at adarsh with an unexplainable expression.
