"hello?"
Yeonjun let out his breath "ugh finally you picked up. how are you?" the other side fell silent for so long he even thought the other hung up. "Yeonjun it's 2 a.m. what do you mean how am i?" now Yeonjun was the one not talking. "i don't know, I'm sorry i" he took a deep breath "i just need to vent"
"okay spill it. let me just grab headphones real quick" the answer came almost immediatelly and after some shuffling the other signaled him to talk. "so umm... Sunoo broke up with Sunghoon. today." "oww sucks for them. why tho? everything seemed fine."...
"yea but like. Sunoo still has some feelings for Niki and Sunghoon found out they were in touch and asked..." he explained "oh right i remember him asking me about Niki too." Yeonjun hummed "mhm me too. he asked me to." how was he supposed to tell him what he did? "but you wouldn't call me just to talk about that. what else happened?" the other talker asked. "well" Yeonjun took a deep breath "i told Sunghoon everything i knew and maybe even exaggerated a little because i thought they were not good for each other and also that i would be a better match for Sunghoon and then i urged him to talk with Sunoo about it but Sunoo was the one to break their engagement and Sunghoon was really hurting and later he called me and i picked him up and we went to my apartament but he was still like really sad and i offered him everything just to make him feel better but the thought of Sunoo never left his mind even while we wer-" Yeonjun babled on one breath. "wait wait wait." he was cut off sharply "what did you do?" the other could not believe what he was hearing. "i tried to make him feel better?" Yeonjun asked. "yes by what? having sex with him?" Yeonjun bit his lip and nodded his head "ye-" "bye" and with that the line cut short "no Soobin wait!" but Soobin already hung up.

Niki also was restless that night but for a different reason. he lied on a sofa in his living room - after giving up his bed for Sunoo like a gentleman he is - and he could not close his eyes. every time he tried to an image of crying Sunghoon appeared in front of his eyes literally hunting him with an"it's your fault". Sunoo told him everything that has happened including Yeonjun's actions but Niki couldn't help but blame himself. if he did not feel guilty about how their relationdhip ended, if he did not try to make it up yo Sunoo and keep in touch with him... he tossed on the sofa some more and eventually stood up to pour himself some water. as if on cue Sunoo entered the kitchen seconds after him. wordlessly Niki handed him the filled cup and grabbed other for himself. for some time comfortable silence filled the room as they both quenched their thirst. "are you okay?" Sunoo finally asked "you look like something's on your mind." younger one hummed. after all Sunoo knew him too well to not notice something is wrong. "I'm okay, just can't sleep." he answered truthfully. he set his cup down and so did the other, going straight to embrace him. "don't blame yourself for what happened, it's not your fault. if anything it's my fault actually. i made those decisions and I'm responsible for them." Sunoo spoke softly while rubbing the others nape. he searched for Niki's eyes and they were indeed filled with guilt. "seriously don't blame yourself." he inched their faces closer, forcing their eye contact. finally Niki relaxed and also embraced Sunoo, holding him by his waist. "no I'm also guilty. i messed up before and i wanted to fix it so much i came between you to" Sunoo frowned at that "what do you mean?" he asked. "i let you think we stopped being friends. and now i was trying to rebuild that friendship so much i completely overlooked the fact that you had someone else to be that" he spilled what was on his mind this entire time. "oh that" Sunoo exhaled "but your actions were visibly just friendly. if i lost all of my feelings for you by then i would not fall again. but i agree that's why we broke up then" they stayed in their hug for a long while just starring into each others eyes. finally Sunoo's eyes wandered into Niki's lips. "no" Niki spoke immediatelly seeing his actions. Sunoo pouted "not even once?" he asked. "i won't be able to kiss you only once" Niki bumped their foreheads but backed away right after. "now come on, we should go to sleep" he was already making his way to the bedroom. "can you sleep with me please? i can't fall asleep alone and i know you can't fall asleep too."
"mhm okay"

long time no see I'm sorry for the break.
but we are nearing the end of this book and i actually have two endings in mind

1. Jaywon get involved in the situation, Sunki happy ending, Yeonbin happy ending.

2. Heejake get involved, Sunki (?), more Sunghoon centered ending, Yeonbin no progress.
