"hi honnie, how was golf with dad?" Sunoo rushed to greet his fiancé but only got half-hearted hug and "it was okay" in return. ever since their brunch with his parents which was about two weeks before Sunghoon became somehow distant. at first Sunoo tried to brush it off telling himself that it's probably just stress or jet lag but as time went on it was becoming more and more apparent that something was wrong.

"you seem weird today Sunghoon. is something wrong?" Sunoo's father spoke whilst swinging his club once again getting a hole-in-one. "am i that obvious?" Sunghoon sighed. "yeah kind of" Mr Kim chuckled seeing Sunghoon miss the hole once again "c'mon you can tell me i won't judge". " if you say so. I'm worried about my relationship with Sunoo. the guy his mom mentioned during the brunch, Niki. he's his ex boyfriend right?". now it was the older's turn to sigh. "let's talk in the longue okay? we can end the game here" without waiting for Sunghoon to reply he already signaled for one of the workers that they will end here.
"so yes, Niki is Sunoo's ex boyfriend, but i don't think this is what bothers you here." Mr Kim stated once they were seated both having hot coffees to sip on. "i even think you already knew they were exes." and he was right. after the brunch he went to ask Yeonjun who Niki was. the blonde although reluctant at first cracked the news that Niki is the boy Sunoo broke up with in Jeju when they met. he also told him that he would watch out for Niki and mentioned the nude painting incident from their last sleepover. "mhm you are right. i asked Yeonjun about Niki and he told me they are exes. he also mentioned he would watch out for him if he was me" younger of the two voiced out his concerns "that they still are in touch and are even going for the same art camp later this month. he also mentioned some act of Sunoo that he painted." "oh well i cannot verify if they are still in touch but i can tell you that for all i know the painting is something they did while they were dating. and it isn't finished" Mr Kim responded truthfully. he didn't want to get in between Sunghoon and his son but he believed it would be for the better to assure Sunghoon. "um Yeonjun said Niki mentioned it to Sunoo recently and that they finished it". "about that i don't know" the older repeated once again "but if you have any issues like this i suggest you clear it up with Sunoo. keeping it to yourself like this won't do anything good" he added.

"Sunghoon can we talk?" Sunoo started to feel suffocated in their deadly quiet apartament. "in a minute okay? I'll just get us something to drink i also need to talk to you about something." Sunghoon put his phone back and went to the kitchen to pour them come tea.
as Sunghoon was in the other room Sunoo heard his phone buzz repeatedly signaling new messages.
'Niki brought it up first but it was Sunoo who suggested to finish the painting'
'i would want and explaination at least if i was you'
'and can stay over at my place if you need to'

Sunoo gasped reading messages his best friend was sending to Sunghoon. okay maybe he shouldn't have checked others conversation but he is kind of glad to find that out, he will need to talk with Yeonjun. so not thinking much of it he took his own phone. 'hi junnie can we meet tomorrow?'

Sunghoon set two cups on the table "what do you want to talk about?" he asked finally giving Sunoo his full attention. "you became very distant and colder, did something happen?" the younger asked although he could almost predict what response he will get. "well Sunoo" Sunghoon sighed "is everything really over between you and Niki?". "yes we were in a relationship back in high school but it's long gone. how do you know about me and Niki by the way?" probably from Yeonjun he thought but asked the question nevertheless. "I asked Yeonjun about him after your mom mentioned him at our brunch. he also told me that you are in close contact recently" he paused waiting for Sunoo to speak up but he stayed quiet. "that you have some calsses together and yo-you like to spend-d time together after tha-at" Sunghoon couldn't keep his voice steady showing how hurt he felt about the whole thing. "a-and he told m-me about a nu-de painting" a sob broke his sentence in half making Sunoo try and reach for his hand but Sunghoon retracted it quickly. "a nude painting that was finished recently because you suggested it. and i don't think this is an okay thing to do in a relationship." he finished speaking quickly before breaking into soft sobs.
Sunoo sucked in a breath thinking where to start his many explainations.
