Lightning. Thunder. Huge waves. Cold dark waters. A part of a lullaby. That was all that Essa could remember of her past. Each day earning to know more about it, but unable to recall a single thing other than the nightmare.

About: She is eighteen-years-old. She doesn't remember anything before the island. She was told by the island's animals she had washed up on shore after a storm when she was six. She was raised by animals and ended up being given a gift of being able to communicate with them and understand exactly what they are saying after praying a childish prayer one night. When they speak, they speak in her language so she communicates back in her language and they understand her. She tends to be a little clueless at times, purely from innocence and growing up on a secluded island with no contact from the outside world. She's brave and risks her life without a second thought when someone is in trouble. She's also the big sister to her animal family and looks out for them, and sometimes acts like a mother to them. She's particularly close with Misty, a baby elephant. She has always held onto some hope that she can find her family, which she knows she has, because her animal family has them so she must've too.
