Y/N SAT ON THE living room floor next to the fire, her best friend robin sitting in front of her as they played uno "uno!" robin practically screamed y/n sighed as she picked up a card, this would be the 3rd time in a row robin would win.
"HA! 3 in a row!" he said as he put down the last card, y/n rolled her eyes smiling "you're annoying to play with" y/n said as she laid back in a star fish position, the fire warming up her shivering body.
"damn, i've been told that multiple times" robin sighed pressing his lips into a line, y/n chuckled "wonder why" she mumbled "ay! it's not my fault i'm a pro at uno!" he said smiling as he stood up walking over to y/ns couch, plopping down onto it.
"whatcha wanna do? i'm bored" robin stated sighing, he turned his head staring out at the window, snow pouring down on the house "uhh, looks like i'm sleeping over" he said.
"pfft, no" y/n said as she sat up turning her head to the window "i'm not walking home in that y/n!" robin said as he pointed to the snow that would at least be ankle deep.
"of course he can sleepover" a voice came from the kitchen, y/ns mama. "see i can" robin said raising his eyebrows at y/n sassily. "but he kicks in his sleep ma!" y/n said sighing.
"yeah that's where i get my moves from duh!" robin said chuckling, y/n and mariana (y/ns ma) laughed. "fine" y/n said smiling
"not like you had a choice" robin said "shut your mouth before i make you sleep outside" y/n said pointing sternly at the boy.
robin chuckled "yes ma'am" he said, y/n smiled rolling her eyes "why don't we go read comics, i got the new kung-fu fighter one!" y/n said
"your joking! i want that one!" robin said as they both stood up walking to y/ns room, robin collapsed onto y/ns bed as she laid out all the new comics she got "holy shit! i'm stealing these!" he said.
"nah uh! i did hard work tryna buy these!" y/n said as she sat cross from the boy "what did you do,i need a job" robin said "i mowed the old lady next to me's lawn" y/n said chuckling as she sorted the comics into a piles.
"how much did you get?" robin said "5 dollars" y/n said "damn, that's pretty good" he said, y/n nodded as she chucked a comic book at the boy "read that one, you'll like it" y/n said
The pair laid on y/ns bed reading comics, y/n read a Dracula comic and robin read a kung-fu fighter comic, they enjoyed doing this with each other, even tho they didn't talk it was still quality time for them.
"finished!" robin said as he placed the comic down "damn you should be that quick at math" y/n teased "ay!" robin said chuckling, y/n smiled innocently before returning her focus on her book.
y/n laid on her stomach her elbows propping her up as she held the comic book in her hands, y/n was almost done when all of a sudden robins head appeared under the comic book, his head sat in front of the book covering her vision.
"move!" y/n chuckled, he shook his head smiling, his eyes wondered y/ns face staring at her features, staring at her in love, their faces were inches away as they stared at each others eyes.
"what?" y/n chuckled as her cheeks heated up "nothing" he said smiling as his eyes stared at hers "stop looking at me like that" she chuckled "what do you mean, can't i look at my best friend?" he said.
"not like that" y/n said "like what?" robin said chuckling "like you're in love with me or something" y/n said as she pushed his head away from the book.
if only she knew.
robin chuckled as he sat up "should i fight moose?" he asked randomly, he asked it to ease the awkward tension "depends, what'd he do?" y/n said "keeps talking shit, that boy doesn't know when to shut his mouth" robin said.
"won't you get suspended tho? with your grades and stuff" she said as she closed the comic she just finished "maybe, but i mean it's worth it" robin said chuckling "true" y/n said
"hey you should join me! you know like gang up on his ass, that'd be pretty cool" robin chuckled "oh so now you want me getting in trouble do you?" y/n teased "no of course i don't, can't get little miss perfect in trouble can i?" he said
y/n rolled her eyes "i'm far from perfect robin, you know that" y/n said as she put the comic books into a box "no...i'm far from perfect your just like, normal i guess" robin said.
"shut up, you're the definition of perfect, don't get me started robin" y/n said as she shoved the box under her bed.
"the school says the exact opposite, bad grades, bad behaviour, bad manners" robin said "who gives a fuck what they think, it's the inside that counts and you're a good person" y/n said.
robin smiled at the compliment, robin always liked y/n and how she made him feel "thanks" he said smiling, god he loved the girl.

i half like this chapter but half don't 😭 idk lmk what you think.
it gets better throughout the book, also it's kinda a slow burn, but there is a bunch of really cute moments that they have together. so it's not a boring slow burn!
