I wake up to Shai's alarm. I get up and turn it off, I turn and see Shai. Shai is still sleeping, and I plan a way to make her surprised when she gets up. I go over to her, and tickle her feet. Shai jumps up and I laugh.
"What the hell?" Shai yells.
I laugh harder, and fall backwards. I stand up and get my school stuff together, still laughing. Shai starts laughing. Shai starts gathering her stuff, and we laugh together.
"Okay, okay, but we seriously we need to get ready," Shai tells me.
I get my backpack, and notice Shai has the exact same one.
"Oh my god, you have to be kidding me," I look to Shai.
"Wow, we really are similar," Shai nods.
I pack up my stuff and am ready for school. I stand, and think of how awesome it would be, to live here. I think I live here now, but I'm not sure. I walk around, and notice the beautiful pictures on the walls. Most of the pictures include Shai, but there's on of when she was born.
"Whoa, did you ever notice this?" I ask, pointing at the picture.
"No, I didn't. I asked who the other baby was, they said it was another baby at the hospital," Shai tells me.
"I think they were lying. Oh, do I get to meet mom?" I ask.
"Yeah! Lets go upstairs right now!" Shai exclaims, dragging me up the stairs.
We go into the bright kitchen, and I'm startled by the beauty. Everything is this house is so beautiful. I look and I see Nathen, he's on the couch in his pajamas. I look down, and realize I am too. I tell Shai I'm going to change, then run down to do it.
I go back up stairs, and I smell Bacon&Eggs. I sit at the table, and feel like this is right. Shai sits next to me and smiles. I smile back, and look at the Bacon and Eggs in front of me. They smell so delicious, I think to myself.
"Dig in!" A woman states from the stove.
The woman, my mom, turns around. She screams immediately. I freak out and run into the corner. My mom looks like she's going to cry, and then sits down at the table.
"What's wrong Mom?" Shai asks.
"You two, you look identical," My Mom replies.
"That's cause we are, Mom, my twin, she isn't dead, this is her, Shay," Shai explains.
I get up, and sit next to Shai again. I curl into a ball on the chair, and let Shai explain. I listen to Shai explain how we met, and how we found out. She didn't touch on the subject of why I was here, but I was glad she didn't.
"Okay, well, you better eat, there's school today," My Mom hands me a glass of milk.
"Thank you," I say in a mousy voice.
"You're welcome dear," My Mom says.
I eat breakfast and once I'm done, I stand and rinse my plate, and put it in the empty dish washer. I go to Shai and whisper that I'm going to get ready. She waves me off, and I go down to her room.
I take a look around her room, and notice more pictures. Shai looks like she was happy in all of them. What would it have been like if I were here too? I wonder. I grab my brush, and brush my hair better than before.
"This is going to be fun."
