One week later

"No don't pull it! Yea, do that. Yea, that's it".

"Steve, I swear to god. Stop saying stuff like that when we're trying to move furniture", Bucky grumbled as he held one side of a chair. "And I told you I can carry this by myself. It's basically a desk chair!"

Graduation had been a week ago and everyone had been given their new jobs. The two men wanted to move out of the tower, so Nat, Sam, and another agent joined them in a four bedroom apartment just down the road.

They had been moving stuff for hours now and nearly everything was in the apartment. Although they still had a lot of flat pack furniture to build. But there was five of them, so they figured at least one person would know how to do it.

"I'm not letting you hurt yourself", Steve argued back.

"We've been over this! I am fully recovered, no broken bones, no bad bruises, lung capacity is almost at full capacity!"

"Almost", Steve repeated.

Bucky made an annoyed sound as they set the chair down in the living room.

"Fighting already?" Sam teased. "I thought you'd at least be able to go a week before the first fight".

"We're not fighting", Steve told him.

Bucky's face didn't show any agreement to Steve's comment until the man stepped forward and gave him a soft kiss. He couldn't hold back his smile and grabbed Steve's hand, leading him over to the small pile of furniture that still had to be built.

"I don't understand either of you", Sam shouted over.

Bucky childishly stuck his tongue out at the man before turning back to Steve and opening the first box.

"Let's make our bedside table first, we need that to store certain things", he grinned.

Steve looked back at him and bit his lip before helping get each part out the box. He didn't really know what he was doing and the instructions were useless, but Bucky was apparently very good at putting together furniture.

They worked together on the rug in the living area whilst the others started putting the boxes of stuff in the right place and unboxing their rooms.

Steve tried putting some of it together but kept getting confused with all the different sized screws. He tried putting one in but it all fell apart.

Bucky cackled at the mess of pieces in front of Steve as he proudly displayed his half of the project.

"Here, how about I build it and you hand me the pieces", Bucky said as if he was speaking to a child.

Steve glared at him and handed over each piece as Bucky built it. They quickly had their simple bedside table done and Bucky went to move onto the small coffee table for the living area.

"I don't wanna do this any more", Steve complained and lay across the floor. "Let's do something elseee".

"You really think you'd be able to deal with this whole mess for long?" Asked Bucky as he gestured around them.

The whole room and kitchen was full of unpacked boxes and furniture and their bedroom would no doubt look the same. Steve thought about it and definitely didn't want it to look like this for long.

"Fine", he huffed. "Lets build the table. But I want you on my lap if I'm just going to be sat here".

"Umm, but you could hand me the pieces?" Bucky suggested, weary to sit in his lap.

Steve gave him a look that said he definitely wouldn't be passing over any pieces as that job sucked. So Bucky gave in with a small smile and plopped himself down on Steve's crossed legs.
