So I Heard You're A Player
Prolouge
There's different stories about the innocent girl meeting the Player. Usually, the player doesn't notice them, but when they do it turns into this big, predictable love story. Now my story is different from others, no, there's no twists or anything. My story does involve a player, but this time we're playing a game.
Now this wasn't orginally planned. I was playing Truth or Dare with my friends, and happendly, I chose to do a dare. Don't think this is a simple dare, like prank calling your teacher, no. That's middle school stuff. With my best friends, we do the most humilating and extreame dares. Luckily, the dare I had to do wasn't so bad, really. It wasn't that type of dare to make you fall in love with the player. It was something a bit different, and at least to say it was the most stupidest dare I've ever heard. But once you accept the dare, you do it. Doesn't matter how hard you try to get out of it, you made a deal, and you stick to it.
Before I tell you what the dare actually was, I'll explain to you everything you need to know, well, everything I think you need to know anyways. If you take an outside view of Tribecca Prep, it looks like it's a goody-two-shoes school. Where everybody is proper, mature, and independent. In all reality, it's the most horrible school ever. The only thing the students care about is three things; getting laid, being popular and being laid. Yes, I said being laid two times because it's true. If you're a virgin, you're a loser who can't get anybody, and somehow you'll have to lose your virginity to survive. Now I bet you're wondering. Am I a virgin? Well, yes, I am. And I don't really give two-shits what people think. Everybody knows that, they still talk about it, but oh well, right? When I want to lose my virginity, I will.
Who's the player? Dylan Wright, people call him D for short. Like all the other stories, he's outstandly handsome and for most girls it's hard for girls to keep his hands off of him. He's tall, built, standing at 6'1, with gorgeous ruffly chocolate brown hair, and piercing brown eyes that a bit different from others. It's a warm tone at some points, like a light brown. Or when it's a cold tone, it's almost black. I guess that was on of his special traits. I don't know how you turn his eyes to that warm caramel colour, though. People have told me it's hard, and I've never really talked to guy either.
As far as his personality goes, he's the perfect package. He's charming, witty, kind, caring, athletic, sarcastic, funny. I could go on for ages. I've been reading too many romance novels lately. Now I'm going to get down and dirty in details about the dare for you. I'm pretty sure it's what you've waiting for, anyways.
So, It was Friday night. Every Friday, my best friends and I order pizza and play Truth or Dare. Usually, we laugh our asses off and die of laughter, then we pull an all-nighter then oder another pizza. Those were the good nights, but the most recent one was pretty much the usual, but this is where the most worst dare I've ever recieved in my lifetime.
We were sitting in a circle, in our shorts and tank-tops, munching on some pizza. "Chanell? It's your turn." My friend, Lilac. Yeah, she's named after a flower, but it suited her. She had long, raven black hair with blue eyes that almost seemed purple from far away, and had a graceful but caring personality, I adored her.
"Dare." I said, flatly, reaching in for another piece of pizza. Lilac smirked; she had a good one on her mind. "What?" I asked curiously, while raising my eyebrow. I wasn't excited for this one. Whenever Lilac had a smirk on her face while making up a dare, it was never good.
"Do you guys know Dylan Wright?" Lilac asked as her eyes beamed. Lilac always thought that Dylan was the most perfect guy in our school, even though at the time I thought she was insane and in over her head.
Rosalie and Chloe nodded their heads while I was completly stunned that Dylan Wright was brought onto our conversation. "Yeah, why?" I questioned, narrowing my eyes a bit.
"Well, I have the perfect dare for you." Lilac smiled anxiously. "Dylan Wright's a player, we all know that. So my dare for you, Chanell, is to play a game with him. You'll treat each other like boyfriend and girlfriend; doing all the lovey dovey stuff. Sweet talk, talk 24/7, tell each other good morning and goodnight evertday. Talk walks together, give each other nicknames, hang out with each others' friends. Go on dates, talk on the phone all night long, hold hands, kiss and hug. And whoever falls in love first, loses." She explained smoothly, obviously proud of what she came up with. I, however, wasn't.
"You're kidding, right? I'm not doing that!" I protested, this was the most ridiculous and insane dare I've ever heard in my life!
"It's a dare, you have to do it, Chan." Well thank-you captian obvious. "Can't we just compromise?" I asked desperately. I had nothing against Dylan, it's just that I knew him and his type to dump a girl one day and go out with the other the next. I couldn't trust myself with him and his good-looks.
"No." Lilac said seriously. I sighed, there was no way I was getting out of this.
"How am I even going to get him to go out with me? I've never talked to him in my life! He'll probably dump me a day later!" I said in an overreactive tone slapping my hands down on my thighs.
"Easy, you just tell him about the dare. Dylan loves challenges, and he hates losing. It's as simple as cake." She said simply, shrugging her shoulders.
"Fine, I'll do it." I sighed, I had a feeling I would regret this later on.
