Two weeks later
"Okay class!" Mrs.Knowles clapped her hands together with excitement, her eyes beamed with joy. We were finally doing something she's been wanting to do for months, but of course, the students didn't however agree with her. We were out in the woods, with misquoites. I hate those little bastards, well, i'm pretty sure everybody in the world does. And no, the bugspray does not work, for me anyways. It's just a waste of five bucks. Anyways, the reason why we're out in the woods is do some trust excercies for religion class. I know, boring right? People told me that it was pretty fun, if you look on the bright side of things.
"We're going to start with the blindfolds. I'm going to assign you in partners, boy and girl. One of you will put on a blindfold, while your partner will guild you through the woods, then you will switch. Also, there is no touching your partner." I heard a lot of groans from plenty of guys, which made me chuckle a bit.
She started listing off the teams, and mostly all the guys I actually knew were already paired up. Mrs.Knowles glanced at me, then looked around. "Ah, Micah! You'll be with Miss Healy here." I raised my eyebrow in curiousity. Who's Micah and howcome I've never heard of him before?
I turned to see my new partner. Then I instally recognizied those blue eyes and purposely messed up raven black hair. it's that guy from last time!
"Here, Chanell." Mrs.Knowles handed me a neon green blindfold. "That's Micah, he's a new student here." She informed me as she patted me on the back and headed back to talk to the other students.
Well, this is awkward on my behalf. I'm faced with a hot guy as a partner, plus he's new. So, I'm going to welcome him and everything. I'm secretly hoping he's not shy, don't get me wrong, shy can pretty cute, but not in this situation. But why does it feel like I've seen him before? I can't put my tounge on it, but I know I have.
"Well, I'm Micah, it's cool to meet you." That voice, it was so different. Not in the way it sounded, but the way it made me react. The voice made me almost breathless, which is odd on my part. Another thing it made me do was have a flashback.
"Micah, stop!" I shouted, laughing along the way. I was running from Micah, he was spraying water on me with a hose. I was completly soaked, we were have a water fight in my backyard.
"You better watch out, Heals!" He shouted back, catching up to me with the hose. We were eight year old then. So innocent and care free, I was so worried at the time about getting my new barbie shoes ruined. At that time, it was some pretty cool shoes. They lit up.
Micah was my best friend ever since birth, we were closer than two peas in a pod. I always wanted to see him everyday, begging my mother to take me to his house. So many memories. But then one day, while I was waiting for him at our usual old spot, the treehouse. He wasn't there. He wasn't there for days, and when I asked my mom. She said that he left. I was only eight year olds, I didn't really comprehend. But why leave without say good-bye?
"Hello? You there?" I snapped out my trance, and shook my head. What kind of flashback was that? This couldn't be the Micah I knew back then, could it? My old best friend, Micah? I shook the thought out of my head. I was still a bit taken back, I haven't thought of him in years. "Y-Yeah, sorry. I'll start first." I stated, still trying to shake the flashback out of my mind.
"Don't worry, I won't let you bump into a tree." He smirked silently. I raised an eyebrow, but smiled it off. I tied the neon blindfold over my eyes, then all I could see was darkness. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a bit nervous.
"Okay, go straight." He started directing me. "Now right." This went on for a while, until he decided to bring up some coversation into this.
"So, was that your boyfriend that you were hugging two weeks ago? Now go left." He asked curiously.
I was a bit stunned by his question, and it made me think a bit. No, Dylan wasn't my boyfriend. Yeah, we made up and everything. But that doesn't mean I can go back to trusting him, what he did hurt. I forgive, but I don't forget. A part of me always wants to give it another try, but I've learned my lesson. You can't date a player without getting played.
"No, not really. Just a friend. Why the curiousity?"
"Aw, Heals. Of couse I'd want to know what my best friend has been up too."
I stopped dead in my tracks. It was Micah, my childhood best friend Micah. I suddenly ripped off the blindfold and turned quickly. "Micah?" I said soflty, looking into his blue eyes.
"Hey." His face lit up. "Micah!" I screamed as I pulled him into a hug. "You're back!" I said into his shoulder.
And from the corner of my eye, I saw Dylan, looking straight at me with eyes full of anger.
