"I don't think Dylan's giving up anytime soon." Kelsey stated, I was on the phone with her. Randomly picking at objects in my room, I came across a picture of Lilac and I. I shivered at the thought that I was ever friends with her.

"Well, he should." I replied bitterly. I know I was being mean, but that guy just never surrenders, even when Micah entered the picture. I took the picture of Lilac and I out of the picture frame, looking at it for a second. Wondering If I should keep it, or burn it.

Nah, I'll burn it.

"Do you even know why Micah came back all of the sudden?" Kelsey asked. That left me dumbfonded, I actually didn't know why he came back out of the blue. "Actually, no. I'll ask him when he gets here."

"He's coming over?" Kelsey added, I swear I could hear a "bleh" noise after she said that, but I just blew it off. "Dirty dirty." Kelsey snickered.

"Not even! Why do people always assume that when a guy comes over, it means they're going to hook up?"

"Welcome to today's society, Chanell. Shall I give you a condom as a welcome present?" She laughed at me, while I just rolled my eyes. "No, that's nasty." I shook my head, to get rid of what Kelsey just said.

"By the way, shouldn't you be supportive of who I date? Like a good friend?" I questioned her, it seemed like everybody I knew was all on Dylan's side. Not fair.

"As a good friend, I will support who's best for you." Damnit, she got me there. Maybe I am naive, which I doubt I am. I just know what's and who's right for me. That's Micah, not Dylan.

"Chanell! Somebody's at the door for you!" I heard my mother call from downstairs. "It's Micah!"

"I got to go, Kels. I'll see you at work tomorrow, bye!"  She said her goodbyes, then I hung up the phone. Checked my hair in the mirror, and headed downstairs to find my mother and father at the kitchen table, talking to Micah. "There you are sweetie!" My mother said sweetly, which was unlike her. Usually, she was tired and moodless because of her job, it drains her a lot. "You never told us Micah was in town." My father added.

"Um yeah, I forgot. Sorry." Truth is, I didn't really think about my parents as much as I used too. I'm out with Micah all the time, or at work. Even when I was friends with Lilac, I was at her house most of the time.

"It was nice catching up with you Micah, but Chanell's dad and I have to go get some groceries." My  mother apologized, and looked at my dad.

"Ugh, that's so boring, Alisa!" My father whined. I chuckled at that.  "Stop being silly, Brian. Let the kids have some alone time." She grabbed my dad's hand and dragged out of the house. Sometimes they can be such teenagers, that's what I loved about them.

"Micah, can I ask you something?" I decided to bring up what Kelsey asked earlier.

"You just did." He smirked at me, then went and took a seat on the the leather lazyboy chair.

"Seriously." I rolled my eyes. "Why did you come back all of the sudden? I mean, back to town?"

He looked at me as if I was angry at the fact that he came back. He didn't seem so happy-go-lucky anymore. I don't comprehend on why he was getting upset at the fact that I asked him why he moved back to town.

"My mom got a job transfer here, and thought it was a good idea to come back." For some reason, I got a vibe that he wasn't telling me the whole truth.  "Oh, okay." I decided to let it slide, but I still stood behind the fact that he wasn't telling me the truth.

He smiled at me, and I uncomfortably smiled back at him. I felt like I turned something that was supposed to be a good time, into something awkward. Though, Micah didn't seem too affected over it. But  I knew I was. He got up and pulled me into a hug. "Let's not worry abot that though, i'm happy I have you here."
