Happy 16th (Belated, it's 12 AM here now) To Makemesmiledammit! This chapter's dedicated to her, check her out! :)
"Grow up and stop being a wimp for Christ's sakes!" Vanessa said with frustration. We were in English class, and she was trying to convince Dylan to get back up on his two feet. Vanessa thought he was depressed, but c'mon, he's just overreacting for attention. Which he is not getting from me. I was on the other side of the classroom, but Vanessa was so loud, even with the overvoices of the other students.
"You know, you're not really helping me right now." I heard Dylan said flatly. Okay, I should be the last person to be easedropping on their coversation. But hey, I warned Vanessa not to go over there; there's no hope for him. You're probably thinking I'm heartless right now, but do you really blame me? What he did was heartless. Almost convinced me that not all High School guys are total jerkoffs, but too bad that threoy was proven false.
"It's like talking to a wall with you!" Vanessa spat angerily. I must admit, it was pretty amusing seeing this, but I also felt bad. Not that bad though, a little bit.
"Chanell, get your stubborn ass over here!" Vanessa shouted across the room, not really affecting anybody's attention. As much as I wanted to be childish and refuse to go over there, I couldn't. I mentally slapped myself as I got up, and motioned over towards Vanessa and Dylan. I took my seat next to Vanessa.
"Can we forgive and forget? Then you two can go back to being all lovey dovey!" I shot Vanessa 'Are you serious?' look and scoffed. "He brought this on himself!" I crossed my arms, getting a bit irritated.
"You didn't even let me explain!" Dylan threw back.
"Whatever comes from your mouth is bullshit! I don't speak bullshit!" I fired at him, I felt my anger burning up bit by bit.
Vanessa buried her face into her hands and groaned loudly.
"The only reason why I can't trust you is because you played me like some violen! I'm not some toy you can play with and throw away! it was all just some game to you!" I said bitterly, I didn't really want this to turn out into a full-out fight, but I guess it was the only way we could get our true feelings out.
"You know what Heal-"
"Don't call me Healy." I snapped, narrowing my eyes at him. "It's Chanell to you now."
"Fine." He started. "You know what? Yeah, it started out like a bet, you don't even know the story behind the bet. At first, It was nothing to me, until it started to actually mean something to me!"
"Oh shit." Vanessa mummered.
"If it meant something to you, you would have called it off. You could've told me straight-up. Leading me on like that hurt me! You being my first kiss actually meant something to me, but to you it meant nothing! That's what hurt the most!"
What I said made everyone silent, and truth to be told, a huge part of me did want to forgive Dylan. But there was my pride, and it's not going down, as much as my heart wanted to fight with it.
"Both of you, stand up." Vanessa demanded, I didn't rise my seat, nor did I. "Don't make me make you guys do it."
"Oh yeah, what are you gonna do Vanessa? Make us stand up?" I said sarcastically, crossing my arms.
"You two are so immature," Vanessa sighed. "Look, you and I both know I won't do anything, just stand up please." Vanessa pulled out her puppy-dog eyes. "it would really mean a lot to me, I mean I just love you guys so much." Her eyes started tearing up. "I just can't see to see my two best friends fighting, it gets to me, you know? Dylan, do you remember last year when you watched the The Notebook with m-"
"Okay! I'll stand up!" Dylan finally gave up. I laughed at him. "Wow, that lasted long, buddy."
"And Chanell, I know how much you hate mushy corny love stuff. So, I'm just going to vent out my feelings to you about Victor. I mean, really, how could not text me back? That does hurt me, it hurts in the heart! I love the guy to death, I just want to cuddle with him and my pillow pe-"
"Fine!" I groaned. Vanessa's eyes gleamed, obviously proud of what she accomplished.
"Wow, that lasted long." Dylan mocked. I rolled my eyes and stood impatiently.
"Now hug!" Vanessa cheered.
"Oh frig, no!" I protested. "That's just like asking me to jump off a bridge, it's not happening!"
"Oh shut up, Healy." Dylan smirked at me and pulled me into a hug, which felt more awkward than ever for me. I shook off that weird eletric feeling off my hand, but all of the sudden my eyes focased on a student that I've never seen before, but looked familair for some odd reason. He was observing me, standing against a wall. He had ice-cold blue eyes, and messed up black hair. He had on a black shirt, but you could see his muscles through the shirt.
Where have I seen him before?
