Okay, I had to change the idea for this chapter so many times..I tried Dylan's POV, I think it'd give away too much. This chapter is so cheesy, and short...but oh well, i'm sure you guys were waiting for this moment in the chapter to happen anyways. it was so hard for me to even press the publish button! D: anyways, enjoy!

"Vanessa, why didn't I notice this earlier?" I asked softly, looking at the purple teddy bear in my hands. Usually, a guy would win you a teddybear if you were dating, but we're not dating. A guy wouldn't get to so happy to see you unless he was your boyfriend. He wouldn't offer you your Starbucks. He wouldn't stand up for you in front of your friends. He wouldn't put his arms around you, calming you down. He wouldn't tell you one of his darkest secrets. He wouldn't take you seriously after that dare. He wouldn't introduce you to all of his friends when you were friendless. I feel like Vanessa's right, i'm being to oblivious to everything that's right in front of me. I frowned at the teddybear, adjusting its purple ribbon tied around its neck. How come I didn't notice this? How come I didn't see any of the signs.
"Because, Chan. You're not used to this all. You're not used to the signs, the flirtatious hints, you were never used to it. Why? Because all the guys went after your friends, not giving you any chance. Face it, you're like a kid learning how to play soccer. You've watched everybody play it, but when it comes to playing it, you have no idea what to do." Huh, interesting connection, but Vanessa was right. I was never used to guys flirting with me, I could never tell if they liked me. I always thought when it came to guys, we'd always be just friends.
I felt like this was happening all too fast for me. It was only a few days ago that I actually talked to him, sure, we were getting pretty close quickly, but that doesn't mean anything. I know people who wait months before they date, even years. It's just not right to me. "So, what do I do now?"
"As much as I hate saying this, but Chanell, you have to listen to your heart on this one." Oh, she had to pull out the listen to your heart card? Even though, it is true. Nobody can make this desicion but myself. "Thank you, Van."
"No worries, I'm always here for you." Funny, never have I heard Lilac, Rosalie or Chloe ever mouth those words to me. And I knew Vanessa meant those words. "Same goes to you."
I saw Dylan and Victor approaching us, Victor with a pissed off expression on his face. Dylan's eyes were full of confusion, his whole face was. I wondered what they could've even talked about. "Let's go." Victor said flatly. Oh, fun, this is going to be an awkward ride home. I walked besides Vanessa to avoid any awkwardness with Dyan. Seeing that it looks like he's in his own world with the blank expression planted across his face.
When we got inside the car, nobody spoke. Not even a cough, a sneeze, anything. Just the presence of awkward silence. Vanessa sat in the front again with Victor, and I was sitting in the back with Dylan. The only difference was that the middle seat was empty. Dylan sitting on the right, and me sitting on the left. I took a quick glace at Dylan, his expression didn't change. I don't think anybody's expression changed. Victor's face gorlified with anger. Vanessa had a look of pure worry, but mixed with happiness. Obviously whatever Victor and Dylan talked about, it must've been pretty big.
"Fuck, somebody say something!" Vanessa shouted while slamming her hand down on her seat. I expected Victor to say something like "Hey, don't hit Charlotte!" or "Don't be mean to Charlotte!" He didn't mouth a word, just kept his eyes on the road. "Sorry." Vanessa apologized. "I just hate this awkward silence!" That makes two of us.
Since there wasn't anything to talk about, I decided to take my phone out. It was a Blackberry Curve. I got a few missed texts from Lilac. Interesting, I decided to read the texts. They were all filled with threats and insauts. The one that actually hurt me the most was the one that I wasn't good enough for Dylan. They had it said it plenty of times, and it still hurt everytime. I grimaced and shut off my phone.
I heard a roar of thunder, and realized it was starting to rain. I watched the rain fall down the window, seeing which raindrop hit the bottom first. I liked watching the rain, it gave off that calming and peaceful sense. Who knew a car ride could be so long, it feels like it lasted hours.
"Chanell? It's your stop." Victor snapped me out of my trance, I nodded. "See you guys later." Victor and Vanessa smiled at me, while i didn't get anything from Dylan. I shut the car door, pulling my hood over my head and stuffing my hands in my pockets. It was pouring hard, and the lightening flashed. The words "Listen to your heart" echoed in my head. My mind is telling me that I'm not worth it, but my heart is telling me another thing. What happens when its mind over heart?
"Healy!" I heard somebody call my name from a distance, I turned, getting mud all over my converse. I narrowed my eyes a bit, to see Dylan with his hair and clothes soaking wet. Holding the bear in his hands, running towards me. Seriously? This is just like the movies, but, i'm pretty sure everyone wants a movie scene once in their life. This kind of reminded of the memory at the school, when Dylan called my name and ran towards me.
"Seriously, you walk way too fast." Dylan exclaimed, catching his breath. For an athletic guy he sure can be lazy. "Here, you forgot this." He had the purple teddy bear in his hands. Oh, so maybe it wasn't exactly how I intended this moment to be.
"Oh." I said, with a hint of disappoint in my voice. "Thank you, I guess I'll see you later." I took the teddybear out of his hands. and turned to head my way back home.
"Dammit, Chanell!" Dylan cursed as he grabbed my hand making me turn. We were standing face-to-face. "Can't you see the way I feel about you?" I released the teddybear out of my hand, making it drop to the ground. He pulled me closer, I felt my heart beating a thousand times faster. He looked at my eyes for a second, he was breathing heavily. I suddenly felt his lips being planted against mine, bringing an eletric shock throughout my whole body. This was right, everything was right, this is what I've been waiting for. This was the answer to all my questions.
He pulled me into a tight hug, we were standing there for a while. Over Dylan's shoulders, I saw Victor and Vanessa leaning against the car, smiling as they high-fived each other.
I shuttered as Dylan whispered something in my ear. "I really can't you how long I've been waiting for that."
