Shiza's POV (Edited)

I was busy working in the kitchen. After Shehnaz Ammi found that maids in the kitchen didn't talk to me nicely, she scolded them and told them to respect me as a Mir. I didn't want her to scold them anymore because that will only create more hatred for me in their hearts. I don't want them to hate me. I had enough people to hate me anyways.

I don't want to add more to the already long list. So, since that day I have been allowed to work in the kitchen. I have been also making Shah Zain's coffee every breakfast now. Shehnaz Ammi insisted that I should make his breakfast if not the whole breakfast than atleast coffee. But he doesn't know that I made coffee for him.

Otherwise, he would never drink it.

So, in short he doesn't know that I am making coffee for him since almost a week now. He had been saying nothing and this made me happy. Atleast I can do something for him even it's secretly. It was nine in the morning but everyone hadn't reached the dining area yet. It's Saturday and everyone had off today. Although, Shah Zain do not take off on Saturday but I heard Jahangir uncle saying that he had something important to share today and he wants everyone home.

So, that's why everyone is home and not even one person went to office.

I'm wondering what important thing it must be. But of course, I can't ask anything. No one will ever answer me. I was busy chopping the vegetables for Shehnaz ammi's soup when Kinza entered inside. She passed me a small smile before making her way to the counter and grabbed an apple. She bit on it and started making light conversation

"So, how's your day going, bhabhi?"

I like the friendly attitude of her. She is the only person in this house who talked to me nicely. Otherwise in these four months, everyone would just glared at me or rather ignore me. But Kinza is exception. She never once bad mouthed about me. Well, atleast infront of me. I sighed while answering

"Nothing much, I'm just making soup for Shehnaz Ammi."

She nodded her head. I decided to ask her about her day but my voice died down when I heard a rather strict voice

"Kinza, yahan kia kar rahi hu tum?"

(Kinza, what are you doing here?)

It was Yusra chachi. She was glaring hard at Kinza. She replied back

"Mama, I'm just talking with bhabhi."

Yusra Chachi passed me a displeased look before turning to her and warned her

"Come outside right now. I don't want to see you anywhere near this peasant."

Her words hurts so bad. I stopped my movements. She was directly insulting me. I didn't look up because once I did, I knew I would cry and I'd be damned if I cry infront of her. I heard Kinza taking a deep breath before she made her way out. But before going out, she turned around and apologized

"I apologized on behalf of mama, bhabhi. She shouldn't have said that."

Her voice held sincerity and that was enough for me. I forced back a small smile before saying

"It's all ok. I don't mind it."

It's not true. But she doesn't have to know that. She smiled before making her way out of the kitchen. I closed my eyes and took deep breaths to control myself. I heard some snickering sounds and when I looked up, I found Zarnish standing there along with Nimra. They both were laughing and I know they are laughing at me. Nimra was always so sweet and kind. How did she change so much?
