Shah Zain's POV (Edited)

As I climbed down the stairs, I was greeted with silence. The lounge was empty that means everyone had already went to the dining area. I made my way towards the dining area and found everyone ready to dig into their meals. When dado saw me, she smiled at me and I greeted her

"Asalamualikum!"

They all replied back. I took my seat beside Zarnish not before ruffling Nimra's hairs. She groaned in annoyance causing me to laugh. We were in the middle of eating, when dado began

"As you all know that our company is reaching to new heights day by day."

We all nodded. Dado looked at me and I can't understand her stare at me. She again looked at everyone and stated

"Since Shah Zain has already joined the company, I want to make another announcement."

At that statement, my sole attention was on dado. She remained silent for a few moment before she began

"I want Shah Zain to take over the CEO's position."

All heads turned towards her. I can bet no one has expected that. It's a very abrupt announcement which no one was having any idea about. No one reacted for few moments before Yusra Chachi decided to break the silence

"But Ammi Sahiba, don't you think it's pretty early."

Mama looked ready to react but baba's hands stopped her. She turned to him but he didn't look at her. Dado smiled at Yusra Chachi and said

"It's not early, beta. Infact, I think it's far more than early. It's pretty late."

This time I decided to ask a question

"But dado, you didn't discuss that with me?"

Dado smiled again and said

"I don't think we need any discussion here. You joined the company to become CEO one day, don't you?"

I remained silent not knowing what to say. When I first decided to join the company, I have agreed with dado to handle the CEO position one day. But I never think that it would be this early. Dado began again

"I will go to the company today and will discuss the details in the meeting this afternoon. I want all of you to be present. We need to show our shareholders that Zain is worthy of this position."

Aaban chided in between

"Don't worry, dado. Mera Bhai lakhon main ek ha. Shareholders ko manana to hamare bayen hath ka khel ha."

(Don't worry, grandmother. My brother is one in millions. Convincing shareholders is a child play for him)

Dado laughed at his remark and stated looking directly at me

"Zain, you have to be present. You need to show them your potential as a CEO. Do you understand me?"

I nodded my head and assured her

"Don't worry. You will not be disappointed."

She smiled. Zarnish looked at me and passed a small smile. I reciprocated her smile and continued my breakfast...

"As you all know that Zain has joined the company to handle the CEO's position one day. I hope you all support him in all this."

Dado finished. We were currently in the middle of the meeting. The board members were present. When they heard about the announcement, they were a little shocked.
