{Just wanna pop in to say that... no. None of this is romantic. Some friendships just develop to be close, so no, I do not ship Tamari x Cakey romantically.}
"What are you doing here?!" Cakey exclaimed, surprised. "You're not even supposed to— How did you even get here?!"
Tamari stood up quickly. "Let me travel the amazing world, this atmosphere comforts me!" they gushed, shuffling with their shoes on the clean, slippery tiles. "High temperatures, the floating yellow ball, the blue void above!" They began moonwalking and singing Billie Jean by Michael Jackson, making heads turn.
Cakey laughed. "Glad you like it, but do you know the way back home?"
Tamari's dance came to a stop as they turned to face Cakey. "Negative."
She sighed. "I'll bring you home later after the musical, just—"
"Oh. My. Gosh."
Cakey quickly handed the Happy Meal to Tamari, then turned to the clique standing behind her. "Hey guys, sorry about—"
The clique shoved Cakey aside to approach Tamari. "Oh my gosh, he's literally so cute!" Libelle squealed and squished Tamari's soft cheeks.
Another girl slightly crouched to get to Tamari's eye level. "What's your name? How old are you?"
"Tamari, 25 years young," they replied confidently as they rested their hands on their own hips.
Cakey's jaw dropped. When did Tamari have the time to learn how to say their name?
The clique surrounded Tamari. "No way, you look way too young for your age," Sabrina commented. "What's your skincare routine?"
"Apply dish soap to your body!"
Her brows furrowed in disbelief. "...dish soap."
He simply nodded in response, as if it was the most normal thing on earth.
"Aw, he's an adorable little guy!" another girl said. "Come to my house party tomorrow, we'll have drinks and a buffet!"
Tamari nodded in response again, then the clique faced Cakey. "Cakey, how come you never told us about him?"
"Oh, um..." she sputtered. She wasn't supposed to tell anything about where Tamari actually came from. "We met just recently, so..."
"Yeah yeah, whatever," the other girl interrupted, "You're invited to the party too. Cya!"

Cakey and Tamari were sitting in the bus while Tamari was eating the apples from the Happy Meal. Cakey didn't feel like eating anymore, which her acquaintance noticed. "Why won't you consume the meal?"
She remembered how she had impulsively bought the box. "I'm not hungry."
Tamari frowned, remembering the amount of patients they used to have with eating disorders. None of his patients ever successfully recovered, but he still wanted to try. He grabbed into the red-yellow box and pulled the burger out, unwrapping it. They wanted to give it to Cakey, who unfortunately declined their offer. They huffed, thinking of a solution. "Here comes the airplane!" Tamari said and moved the burger closer and closer to Cakey's mouth.
She giggled and decided to take a bite out of the warm sandwich, then finally gave in and took it. This was probably her first decent meal this month.
"Where's our final destination?" Tamari asked, placing their hands on their lap. They appeared even shorter when sitting.
Cakey swallowed. "The theatre... wait, you don't have a ticket!"
"I'll find one," Tamari responded and turned to look out of the window, watching the houses and cars pass by.
