{Hi! I just wanted to celebrate my 22.222 word count with a new chapter, so enjoy this little treat. :]}
Back in the mirror dimension, Cakey and Tamari entered the large kitchen of the reflection bakery, finding Nana topping off a cream pie with an entire can of whipping cream. She was standing with one foot on a small ladder to even reach the top of the cream tower.
"Woah..." Cakey said. "That looks like hard work..."
"It is indeed," Nana confirmed as she added the cherry on top. "Baking the base was a disaster."
"You could've asked me for help!"
Nana climbed down the ladder and folded it shut. "Surely will next time..."
"Share?" Tamari asked, reaching out their hands towards the cream pie.
Just a hair away from the whipped cream tower, Nana slapped Tamari's hand away. "No touching this! It's for my next show, dummy."
Tamari pouted as they pulled their hand away.
"Also, Tamari, the cops were here for you."
Tamari raised an eyebrow. "Why?"
"Because you had broken into the Candle Queen's cabinet, remember?"
"Oh."
"But you're not gonna go to jail."
Tamari threw their hands up. "Yay!"
"You're banned from the theatre though."
"Aw."
Cakey raised an eyebrow. "Why doesn't Tamari have to go to court or anything, though? I mean... I'm glad we're not in too much trouble, but there must be some consequences after this."
Nana sighed. "We've got much worse crimes than breaking and entering happening in this mirror dimension, trust me. The cops wouldn't want to deal with something as silly as that."
Before Cakey could even ask about the worser crimes, someone bursted into the bakery and slammed the door shut behind them. The brunette person stared at Tamari, Nana and Cakey, who were just staring back. The guest finally managed to break the awkward silence. "Um, hi."
"Greetings and Salutations!" Tamari exclaimed enthusiastically, waving like a Roblox character. "What brought the fellow human to this place?" Obviously, they were trying to act like a normal human.
The guest turned around to check the closed door behind them, then back to Tamari with a puzzled look on their face. "Who are you talking to right now?"
"I am welcoming you!" Tamari replied.
"Well, thanks for that I guess, but I'm just staying here for shelter..." The person seemed rather quiet, perhaps even a bit shy.
Don't think of that cutesy type of shy, goddamnit. That word has been ruined badly. They were just feeling awkward to be around new people. Got it? Good."Shelter?" Cakey repeated.
The brunette nodded. "Yeah, there's some feral creature going around and killing humans for fun."
Cakey got worried and looked over to Nana. "What happens when a reflection dies?"
"They usually just disappear until the next time their original looks into the mirror. Their memories will remain, though," Nana simply explained, then turned to face the brunette again. "Are you speaking of that blonde guy with that bandage over his eyes? Wasn't his name Say or something?"
The brunette person shook their head rapidly. "Nuh-uh, I'm Say, he's Arc."
"Can't we just kill him?"
"Nana!" Cakey said sternly.
