{TW: ED}

After a sleepover at Bella's house, just to make sure that she wasn't going to hurt herself, Flower finally decided to go home. Not the bakery, but the dull and lonely apartment she used to share with her last parent.

When she entered through the front door, the smell of rotting flesh was practically gone. Nobody there. Only the deafening ringing in her ears filled the silence. Life wasn't much different without her mother, why was she still mourning? Why was she mourning over someone who was barely ever present?

She was sitting in the living room, now scooping on the birthday cake flavored ice cream she wanted to eat days ago. As long as she was stuffing herself with the cold sweets, she would hopefully ignore her current issues. If her mother wasn't paying for anything anymore, Flower would need to take things into her own hands and open that bakery. After all, she had no other choice, unless her father would appear out of the blue and accept her as his daughter. Since Flower's mom never mentioned him though, it might be that she was the result of a one night stand. A mistake.

As time passed and the ice cream started to soften, Flower kept on putting it in her mouth, seemingly lost in her thoughts. Maybe she wouldn't stop until the bucket was empty.

The cellphone suddenly rang, but Flower refused to run for it. Everything was just too much right now.

Then it emitted a voice message of Flower's favorite robot speaking. "Salutations, Cakey! I am hoping that you are feeling healthy and joyful! Nana and I's message to you: Make sure to eat and perhaps visit us soon! You can confess your sorrows to me if the pain in your heart becomes unbearable. You don't need to handle all of it by yourself. Take care, we heart you!"

Flower's heart softened when hearing Tamari's voice. She would pull Tamari and Nana in for a hug right now if she was in the mirror dimension. Tears were streaming down her face when she realized she wasn't all alone.

She couldn't give up just yet. She had a bakery to open, a mirror dimension to save and friends to visit...

"...after I finish this ice cream."

"Cakey, there you are!" Nana exclaimed, already waiting in the old storage room where the mirror was standing. Next to her was Tamari, just giving Cakey a warm smile.

"Hi guys, what's on the agenda for today?" She asked and gave the clown and the robot a small wave.

"So we've been thinking... what if we make today about you?" Nana suggested. "We could spend some time together, if you want."

Cakey pondered for a second before responding, "I'm open for anything you wanna do."
Classic Cakey.

"Oh my god, Flower-"

Tamari nudged Nana with their elbow, shutting her up. "My suggestion is tidying the old bakery of yours! What may your opinion be about this?"

Cakey scratched the back of her head. "Ehhh... I dunno, would you even like doing that? The bakery is very messy and-"

"Let's begin, then!" Tamari cut Cakey off and grabbed her hand, pulling her through the mirror back into the reference world. Nana waved to them both goodbye and left.

Tamari looked around in the messy chamber, scanning every corner, every broken plushie, every upside-down rocking chair and each pile of useless paper covered in dust. "Offer me a garbage bag, we shall sort this out."

Cakey and Tamari spent hours tidying the room, throwing broken or useless objects into the bags. In the process, Cakey discovered an old notebook with a leather cover lying under a pile of blankets. Tamari peeked over her shoulder and also looked at it in surprise. "OWO, what's this?" they asked in a high-pitched voice.
