Scepticism gripped her, but the allure of the castle overwhelmed her doubts. Like a curious cat, she ventured inside, following the trail deeper into the enchanting hallways, passing through doors that seemed to stretch on endlessly.
Finally, she stood before a grand door, majestic and imposing, radiating a magical aura. Captivated, Karol approached and pushed it open with all her might, the door slamming wide and startling everyone within the room.
"That's one way or another to make a grand entrance," remarked the striking lady clad in white, her gaze fixed on Karol with an air of intrigue.
"I believe I've discovered my sister's doppelgänger," the second enchanting lady in white chimed in, her laughter lingering like a delicate melody in the tense atmosphere.
"Is this what humans refer to as making an impact?" inquired the handsome gentleman in white, settling into his seat with a casual grace that belied the seriousness of the gathering.
Karol blinked in confusion, daring to challenge the oddity of the moment. "Who are you?" she asked, her voice wavering slightly as her heart raced.
"Impatience suits her, doesn't it? It reminds me of someone," the man said, a chuckle escaping his lips, as if he shared a secret only they understood.
She surveyed their expressions, a mix of astonishment and bewilderment washing over her. In that instant, she felt a profound sense of inadequacy; here she stood, utterly underdressed for the inexplicable gathering surrounding her.
"Don't disturb her, you lot," a regal lady said as she approached, her presence commanding yet soothing. "Are you alright, my Chosen One?"
With gentle insistence, she pulled Karol towards the ornate table, guiding her to a seat beside her. "Do ignore my eccentric siblings; they can be quite peculiar," she added, her voice laced with amusement.
"Why am I here?" Karol's voice trembled with urgency.
"That, my child, is for me to explain," a luminous figure interjected, a lady who shone as brightly as the sun, radiating warmth and power.
"Why can't I see you?" Karol asked, shielding her eyes from the brilliance of the glowing lady who had just entered the room.
"Mother," they all exclaimed in unison, rising in reverence to the radiant one before them.
"Sit, my children," the Mother instructed, a gentle chuckle escaping her lips. "I sense that you have a torrent of questions waiting to be voiced."
"Yes, I have," Karol affirmed, anxiety coursing through her.
"Tell me, child," the Mother urged, her tone encouraging.
"Alright, I have a few questions lined up, so please bear with me:
1. Why am I here?
2. Am I dead yet?
3. What is this place?
4. What will become of the prisoners I've encountered?
5. Why is your guard a hybrid?
6. Is it truly possible for different supernatural beings to coexist?
7. Who are all of them?
8. Why do they call you 'Mother'?
9. Why are you addressed as 'Mother'?
10. What exactly are you?
That's my list for now; I'd appreciate it if you could answer them one by one, thank you once more."
