Upon arriving in Theodulf, she swiftly hopped into a cab waiting outside the airport, eager to drop off her few belongings at the Ethel Luxury Hotel before heading to the packhouse. Her heart raced with excitement at the thought of seeing her mate, Christian. Without wasting a moment, she checked in and then set off for the packhouse, her mind buzzing with anticipation.
As she made her way, she tried calling and messaging him countless times, but each attempt was met with disappointment as the operator's voice echoed back to her. Shaking it off, she reassured herself that he was likely busy with work. When she finally reached the packhouse, she paid the cab driver and walked up towards the mansion, the lively sounds of music spilling from the backyard.
Just then, Ulfred happened to emerge from the mansion and greeted her with surprise. "Oh, hi Karol! What brings you here?"
"Hey Ulfred! I'm looking for Christian. Is he inside?"
"Unfortunately not," Ulfred replied, regretfully. "He's out at some kind of party that Blair is hosting. Would you like me to call him?"
"Yes, please! I've been trying to reach him."
"Aright, just give me a moment to grab my phone. In the meantime, why don't you join the party inside?" Ulfred encouraged her, leading the way.
She wandered for a bit but soon found a quiet spot under a tree, where she noticed a lonely boy gazing up at the twinkling stars. She approached him, her voice soft and inviting. "It's beautiful, isn't it?"
Startled, the boy placed a hand on his chest. "Huh?! Oh, my goddess! I'm sorry, Luna," he stammered, fidgeting nervously.
"Don't apologise, my dear. You haven't done anything wrong. May I sit beside you?" She gestured to the empty space next to him.
"Yes, Luna, please do," he replied shyly.
"Thank you," she said, settling beside him. "What's your name?"
"I'm Samuel, Luna, but you can call me Sam," he said, stealing glances at her.
"What a lovely name! May I call you Sammy?"
"Yes, Luna! You can call me that," Sam beamed, his enthusiasm making her chuckle as she playfully ruffled his hair.
"You really are a cute pup, aren't you?"
"Do you really think so, Luna?" he asked, his eyes wide with hope.
"Absolutely, Sam. But why do you seem sad, my little Sammy?"
"I'm just... a weirdo, Luna. Everyone tells me I'm a freak..." He spoke softly, his voice trembling.
"Who says such things, Sammy? Why do they call you that?" Her tone was gentle and encouraging.
"You're the first person to be kind to me and sit with me," he admitted, his voice thick with emotion as tears welled up in his eyes.
Filled with compassion, she wrapped her arms around Sam, holding him close. "Oh, sweetheart, please don't be sad. You can share anything with me, and I promise I won't judge you."
As if casting a spell, Sam began to open up. "They call me names because I'm not a warrior like my family, just a normal pack member. They treat me like I'm an omega like I don't belong..." His sobs broke her heart.
With a deep breath, she pulled him into a bear hug, caressing his back soothingly. "Listen to me, Sammy. You mustn't think so poorly of yourself. You are strong, and it's not your fault they don't see your worth. You're just starting to find your place, and you're so much more than they think."
"If you ever need anything, please remember to call me, okay sweetheart?" She gently pushed him away so she could look into his eyes, wiping his tears away.
"And do you have your phone with you?"
He nodded, fishing it out and handing it to her. She quickly saved her number, a smile playing on her lips. "Here, I've put my number in. If you need anything, even if it's just to say hello, don't hesitate to reach out. I'll be your big sister K."
She returned the phone to him, wrapping him in another warm hug. Sam clutched his phone tightly, holding onto her as he let the tears flow silently.
She ran her hand over Sam's back in comforting strokes. "Remember, Sammy, never look down on yourself. You're young and strong. I promise, one day, you'll shine brighter than anyone else. Just don't give up on yourself, okay, my boy?"
"Okay, Luna, I'll try my best."
Out of nowhere, Christian angry voice could be heard by everyone as it was accompanied by a growl.
"Get. The. Fuck. Away. From. My. Mate"
Said an angry Christian as he emphasized every word while marching towards them. As soon as he pushes them apart he quickly punches Samuel with rage and anger repeatedly until he loses consciousness, bleeding heavily.
She sees red and quickly pushes him roughly making him stagger a little before he changes his target. He then quickly grabbed her by the collar and dragged her into the woods while mumbling coherent words.
She follows him without any resistance because she knows it's going to be a futile action if she does that or pulls away.
'Seriously Christian? As an Alpha, you are drunk and stupidly beat up a poor boy. I hope your pack will last longer than your small brain' said her to herself as she shook her head in a disapproved manner.
After a few minutes of walking that seemed like they were in the middle of the jungle, she then saw a small cave right behind the waterfall which they were heading over.
As soon as they enter the cave he pushes his mate towards the cave wall while sniffing her neck making her deliciously shudder upon the contact but at the same time hold her trap in between the wall and her drunk mate.
