Stella's POV

Feeling butterflies in my stomach is what I hated the most. I rather feel nauseous than anxious. I looked at my watch again for the nth time seeing I have another hour before my interview. I better go get a drink to help me to calm down before I back out, I'm really nervous right now.

Entering a small cafe, I quickly walk to the counter and ordered a small size of pomegranate fruit tea drink. Coffee will not gonna help me this morning so I opt to get a juice drink. I took a sit at the table just a few feet away from the counter as I wait for my drink. Well, I make sure I dress super nice and I know I look good too the last time I checked. I shouldn't be this nervous.

I never thought I would do this again, I mean applying for a Job. After what happened to my life, I would've just lock up my self or even disappear. Somehow the universe is telling me otherwise, people who cares about me helped me to see that life is still worth living for, and that I should get up and move forward.

After I finish my drink, I feel a little less anxious, I think I'm ready for the appointment. Though there's lot of things that's running through my mind. I must stay focus and live in the moment. I promised to my late husband before he passed that I will do everything to be happy. Though it's surely be difficult, I promised to myself that I will live normal again. Taking one small step but will make big changes at one point. If this will not work then I'll stop.

Taking a deep breath one more time and I walked towards the building and entered. "Here we go." I said while walking to the front desk.

"Hi, Good morning!" I greeted the lady at the front desk with a smile.

"I'm here for an interview, my name is Stella Dos Santos." I continue. She then looked at me nonchalantly.

"Sure, give me a moment." She sighed and look on her computer. The woman's face at front desk starts to look gloomy as I stare at her. Is she going through something much worse than I do?

"Please go to the seventh floor and look for Mrs. Deeley." She instructed in a condescending tone.

"Thank you!" I said back again with a warm smile, never mind the girl's attitude. She must be having a not-so-good-day today.

I headed to the elevator then get in. I pressed the number 7 button and the door closes. I'm feeling nervous again, it's been few years ago the last time I applied for a job. Actually, I no longer remember the last time I had an interview. I don't really need to work. My parents gave me a big amount of money as a marriage gift and with what my late husband left me. I know I'm good for life as long as I take care of it and be responsible on spending.

I grew up on a family of 4. I'm the youngest and my older brother is taking care of the family business. I'm thankful for whatever he's doing for me. He's always making sure that I'm still doing well. He said I needed a new environment to help me go on with my life. He refer me to his friend to apply for a secretarial work. He's the reason why I'm here.

I fixed my dress again before I reached the 7th floor.
When I suddenly bumped at someone as I get out of the elevator.

"Ohh..." I instantly feel sorry when I see it's a little girl, she fell on her butt and she then scrunches her nose. I think she got hurt.

"I'm sorry I didn't see you, are you alright?" I asks the girl as I reached for her hand and help her to stand up.

"Ouch..." the girl muttered as she still scrunching her face while rubbing her behind.

"I'm okay. No worries. I was in a hurry that I didn't see you coming." She says, as she tried to get up holding onto my hands. Isn't this petite little girl so cute?

"Aia, you little silly goose, come back here!" An older lady yelled as she comes running towards us.

"I got to go. The old witch will gonna get me." She said as she gets in on the elevator and pressed the close button several times.

"So that's the name of that girl", I mumbled. The door opens and she quickly get in pressing the close button few times while giggling.

"Hey, come back here!" The older lady yells as she tries to run as fast as she can. "Don't you dare, close that door Aia!" the lady shouted.

I was too surprised on what's going on. I don't know what to do, will I stop the girl from running or not? The girl wave her hand as the door closes.

"Hey!" the older yelled said but then the elevator door closes.

"Oh my Lord, that kid will be the death of me. Oh my!" said by the elderly woman now standing few feet away from me, still trying to catch her breath. I'm trying my best not to laugh.

"Excuse me? I'm here for an interview. I'm looking for Mrs Deeley." I asked the old lady.

"I am she. Yeah I'm waiting for you! Come, please follow me." Mrs Deeley said while still trying to breathe.

I follow Mrs Deeley and she brought me to a conference hall.

"Hey, anyway don't mind that kid. She's most of the time like that. But she's a good kid. I love that silly girl so much. It's just that she gets me all the time to run after her. Okay, sit here. Please wait for the boss. He'll be here in few minutes. I'm Alice by the way." She gave her hands to me to shake and I squeezed it gently and smiled ate her. I think I'll gonna like her. She talks and sounds like an older loving mother.

"That girl is totally fine, I'm used to it." I responded with a big smile.

"That's so nice of you. Okay I leave you now theres still a lot of things to take care of." Mrs. Deeley said. She left me on the conference hall. There's no other person inside this big and tidy and shiny room. I took a sit and waits. I've been here waiting when suddenly the door opens and the little girl I bumped to earlier entered following by a tall guy.

"Uncle, I told you. I don't like her. I don't like her!" The girl said with a frown. It also looks like there's a tear that is about to fall.

"Darling, what will I do now? There's nothing I can do anymore." A man thats looks like in his late thirties explained. "I keep on looking for someone who will look after you. Aia, I don't know what to do anym-" he stopped talking when he looked at my direction.

"Oh, I'm so sorry? You must be Ms. Dos Santos?" the gentleman asked.

"Yes Mr." I replied to the man.

The guy looked back on the little girl and whispered. Aia just turned around and headed to the door. She look back to the man with so much sad look on her face and opened the door then leave the room.

"I'm so sorry about that. My niece is just too much to handle. Let's start the interview." The gentleman explains as he gestures me to sit down again

It took us 20 minutes and the interview went well. Mr Garcia is such a gentleman the way he talks and response to some of my questions. I learnt that Richard really needs a secretary as well as companion that  understood well the vision and values of his company. He prefers to hire a woman in their 30's than to those in their 20's. Richard just needs a person who will treat him with respect and that can be a friend too.

"Thank you so much Mr. Garcia, I won't let you down." I said and did stand up as I give him my hand to shake. When someone knocks on the door and comes in. It was Mrs Deeley.

"Ricky, I can't find Aia." she said worriedly
