KADE

I got out of the shower and grabbed a towel from behind the door.

I wrapped it around my waist and headed back into my room.

I opened the bathroom door and headed back into my room.

I walked over to my bed and sat down.

A sigh slipped past my lips as I glanced at the suit in front of the wardrobe.

For the last few hours, I did quite a few jobs and even had to help the mothers out, which didn't end well.

Brie's mum, Lucy, wanted to know my plans and kept asking loads of questions. It felt like she was trying to get information out of me, which I found odd.

In the end, my mother had to intervene and told her that the hairdresser was here to do their hair.

I was grateful to my mother for that, even with the knowing look, even she was wondering the same thing I was.

Why was she asking the questions? It wasn't like she was all for Brie and me to get together. I sighed.

I got everything sorted out and came up here to have a shower to get ready for the rehearsal.

I was more or less looking forward to spending time with family and friends, but I wanted to see Brie again.

The mere thought of Brie had my stomach twisting in knots.

Brie did this to me all the time.

I wanted her to see me as I am now, as I'm not the same boy she will remember. Besides the way I look, I always kept Brie in my thoughts, especially when I was away with the army.

She was the only thing that kept me alive, even though I had letters and care packages from family and friends.

I wanted one from Brie, but without knowing where she was at times I had to go with the memories I had of her.

I moved off the bed and got myself ready.

I knew Dominic was going to be coming here soon, as he wanted to go down together.

We were told by our mother, before she left to get herself ready, that we were the faces for everyone to see till Larissa came in.

I quickly got myself dressed in my suit and put on the shoes.

I would have worn my ceremonial uniform for tonight, but I am wearing it for the wedding tomorrow. I wanted to look the part and Dominic actually invited my boss, so I knew I had to wear it. I looked at myself in the mirror and made sure I did something with my hair.

Once it was done, I grabbed some aftershave and sprayed.

As I was just making a last check of myself, making sure I looked good.

My door opened and in walked Dominic, who stopped and wolf-whistled.

"Wow," he said, making me look at him with a frown.

"What?" I asked.

Dominic grinned.

"Looking good," he said. "Brie won't be able to take her eyes off you now. I forgot how good you looked in a suit."

I said nothing as a smile itched at the corners of my mouth.

"You ready?" I asked, checking to make sure he looked dapper in his suit.

Dominic and I looked alike in some ways, but our hair and eyes were different. I followed our father with dark hair and brown eyes, whereas he followed our mother with blonde hair and blue eyes.
