KADE

The car was filled with silence as I drove away from the house.

My mind was spinning out of control, going over everything that had happened and said. I couldn't believe Brie's mum would do such a thing, especially to her daughter.

Rachel had some nerve to act the way she did at the party. She revealed during the time I was arguing with her, she and her husband were divorced.

The ring was the one thing that she took away from the marriage and money.

When I told her to leave me alone, Rachel wouldn't take no for an answer; it was like she was on a mission.

I lost my cool, but when I heard Brie's voice, I felt my insides calm. She had this way of calming me, even when we were younger. She knew how to soothe me and make me relax.

When Brie ran out, everyone kicked off. I heard raised voices, but I didn't care about them. All I cared about was Brie, so I ran out after her.

I watched her stand outside. I knew she was hurt by what she heard.

I looked ahead as I drove. I knew where to take her. It used to be a place we went to when we were younger, and I haven't been there since she left this place; it didn't feel the same without her.

I looked over at Brie, who was staring out the window.

I moved my hand and placed it in hers. I moved her hand and placed it on my thigh, which I knew wasn't the best idea, as my cock was hard.

Brie didn't take her hand away, which was nice.

"Where are we going?" she asked, making me look at her.

I smiled.

"Our place," I muttered as I looked back at the road, knowing the turning was approaching. Brie said nothing.

I turned the corner and moved along the narrow road.

It wasn't long before we came to it.

I came to a stop and pulled over.

I looked over at her as she looked ahead.

"I forgot how gorgeous this place is," she said.

"Yeah, it is," I said, looking at her. "Not the only gorgeous thing here, though." Brie looked at me; her eyes widened.

I grinned, pulling her to me.

Brie tensed slightly, but relaxed as she leaned into me.

This makes me happy.

Brie and I being like this.

I have wanted her more and more ever since I came home from the army. She was always on my mind and was what got me through the hard times when I was away.

I wrap my arm around her, with my hand still in hers.

Brie leaned against me.

"I have missed this," she murmured, not moving to look at me. "I wish we could stay here." I smiled.

"We can," I said. "Well, till tomorrow at twelve, as we have a wedding to attend." I felt Brie giggle and move away but look over her shoulder at me.

She smiled.

"I don't think I can talk to Mum," she said, her smile fading.

I placed my hand on her cheek and stroked it.
