The creature bounded toward them, baring its fangs.

Sonoma screamed and threw herself at Aster, sending them bother hurtling to the ground, and landing atop a grave.

The creature skidded past them and down the hill.

Any moment now it would catch up again.

As Aster helped her up, she quickly read the name on the headstone and recalled that name from a story she had learnt and memorised since she was a little witching.

Oak Hilton, the protector of Vonwell.

She shrugged it away.

The two sped through the graveyard, leaping over headstones and avoiding graves.

Both were running low on energy, having spent the past twelve hours in either a romance panic, or an Oh-fuck-I'm-gonna-die panic.

They just needed to hide well. If they hid, they wouldn't need to waste so much energy.

Aster looked up at the Chapel, and an idea opened in his mind.

'Follow my lead' He murmured to her, as the creature roared and bucked into view.

Aster clambered up the side of the pristine structure, and pulled Sonoma up, so they were hidden in the shadows, on the roof of the Chapel.

The creature stopped right below them.

It sniffed around the ground, confused at why the trail of their scent stopped so abruptly.

Such a dense creature, thought Aster as it wheeled back and sprang into the distance.

But just as the two were beginning to think that it was safe to come down, to people appeared where the monster had been a few minutes prior.

They were speaking in a different language, that the enchanter and the witch recognised.

They were speaking in Crston.

Crston was the language of Crytol, a far away land ruled by mortals. It was so far away that it was at the complete other side of the world from Vonwell.

While they recognised the language, they didn't understand it.

So once the two mortals had finished tejir conversation and parted ways to get back to Crytol or wherever, the two dropped down from their hiding spot.

'Seems we both need to get home sunshine, glad we got any convo in' Sonoma said, glancing around her as if she half expected the creature or the mortals to come back.

'Damn, well, guess this is goodnight' Aster frowned, disappointed.

'Yeah, my mom will probably ground me if she comes back to an empty house, seey a sunshine' She made a little heart shape with her hands and gave a teasing wink at him as she walked away.

He faltered and smiled.
