The carriage shuddered to a stop outside of the cottage.
Inside, a green-eyed witch moved away from the sprouts she had been tending to.
They had arrived.
Three knocks on the door, and she answered. They entered, and she brewed them tea, and offered them snacks.
'And the child?' She said after a she had returned the tray to the kitchen.
'Right here' Their gruff voice scoffed, and the shoved a young girl with eyes like the moon forward.
The green-eyed witch gasped, and inspected the girl.
'A mirror' The plant witch whispers, her emerald eyes widening.
She drags a hand through the girls midnight tresses and gasps once again.
The visitors stand.
'The payment?' One says.
'Ahh yes! Here you are' The green-eyed witch replies with a quick look of distaste and drops the furred pouch of gold into their hand.
'Farewell, Andromeda, keep her' Says the other glancing at the young girl in disgust.
'I will, thank you very much!' Andromeda says, a newfound protectivess glazing over her tone.
The visitors look her up and down one last time, and leave with a slam of the door.
Andromeda kneels by the small girl, and once again takes in her features.
Small, star-like freckles danced across her cheek bones and the bridge of her nose, gleaming silver in the corners of her eyes, her dark curls, the paper white complexion, and the pointed ears.
Andromeda faltered.
She hugged the girl to her chest, and the girl still did nothing.
'What is your name?' Andromeda whispers.
The girls head tilts in confusion. 'I do not have one. Beast said I was undeserving of it'
Andromeda bites her lip to keep herself from a long slew of insults she could title Beast with.
'Then you and I together will choose one, how about Sonoma?'
The girl nods.
'Well then, Welcome, Sonoma Deyanira'
