The moon shone down on the chapel.
Four teenagers stand outside.
Sonoma takes a deep breath, shakes her head.
The full moon glares down at them. Its far brighter then it should be. Like a massive silver light bulb was just placed in the centre of the sky.
Aster takes her hand to reassure her that it would be okay.
But she couldn't help but feel like she was forgetting something crucial.
Her eyes looked over the wisteria tree that grew right next to the Chapel.
She looks at Laurie, who's chest is heaving very slightly as she attempts to conceal her fear, then at Pandora, who is staring at the sacred structure before them with a determined expression.
It was now or never.
Sonoma struts up to the door, and kicks it open.
Silence.
There's nothing there.
They turn to Laurie, confused. She had said that she had found that the monster always slept there from sundown to sunrise in the main area of the Chapel, never the side area, where they had been working everything out.
'What...?' Pandora stares, brows furrowed.
'I'm so sorry' Laurie whispers, tears in her eyes. 'I didn't have a choice'
They all stare, as they piece it all together in their heads.
Suddenly, the creature appears.
It lunges, and Pandora dodges.
Bullets, fire, daggers and blasts of magick fly.
It's quite colourful, like some kind of deadly lightshow.
But something still doesn't feel correct, Sonoma realises.
Sure, Laurie had just been sending them after fake leads this whole time, and had betrayed them.
Sonoma feels like something is missing still.
She engages in the battle, fighting the creature with the gun she had.
It was her only defence.
She fought hard, and attempted to avoid Laurie being heavily injured as she attacked.
But she couldn't shake the feeling that something far worse was about to happen.
She hears a small, quiet sound from behind her.
And she knows that someone is there. And they are not on her side.
Aster and Pandora hear her scream, and turn to see a man only Andromeda would recognise, kick off the ground and into the air, with Sonoma tightly wrapped up in a firm grip.
The beast had returned.
The Enchanter and the Greenwitch screamed for the friend, as the creature and Laurie retreat.
It hurts Laurie, but as she said. She hadn't a choice.
Maybe if she did, the outcome would not have been so harsh.
