Light forced through her eyelids.

She groaned, and sat up to see Aster, Pandora and Laurie glaring at her.

'Sonoma Grace Deyanira-' Pandora begins.

'-HOW COULD YOU GO AND SCARE US LIKE THAT?!?!?' Laurie yells, causing Sonoma to flinch.

'Calm it Jenkins' Pandora sighs.

Laurie grumbles and sits down quietly.

'You shouldn't have run into the graveyard by yourself, alone, in the middle of the night' Pandora says, concern in her tone.

'I know, and I'm sorry' Sonoma sighs, guilty.

'Also, no buts, you are taking a break' Pandora says directing a finger at her.

Sonoma only nods sadly.

It takes little more then five minutes for Laurie and Pandora to leave.

Aster and Sonoma are alone.

'Sorry about that, I was desperate' She shrugs.

'Don't worry, I probably would have done the same in your place' He smiles softly, making her feel all giddy inside.

'Well, Sunshine, guess that's just how life is?' She teases.

'Whatever you say, Commander' He smiles.

The two laugh and Sonoma lays back, more relaxed then she had been in days.

Her eyes fluttered closed, and she realises how tired she is.

'Enjoy your nap Commander' She hears Aster say, and a moment later, she's asleep.

----------------

When she woke, She ate the breakfast she had been made, and as soon as she was left alone, she went and puked it all up again.

After not eating since she had found that Moonstone, even when she went to the cafe where she met Aster, she hadn't actually eaten, she had tea instead, she hadn't been able to force herself to digest anything properly.

It was nothing but a nuisance to her now.

She groaned and leaned back, but just as she did, she noticed a marking on the window that hadn't been there the day before.

It was a small crescent moon carved out the wood of the window sill.

Usually, she would've just brushed if off and dismissed it, but she now knew that this was a sign, and she could not underestimate it.

Whoever was behind this, they weren't messing around.

She had to find out who, or else the entirety of Vonwell would fall, and cease to know why.

She had to figure it out. She had to figure everything out.

She could not disappoint anyone. Tomorrow, she decides, will be it.

Tomorrow, she will finally destroy the monster that has been haunting her in the sky for years.
