Jim paces back and forth in his room at the specialized forensic psychiatric hospital. The white walls and sterile environment make him feel like he's in prison. He paces around the room, muttering to himself as he tries to come up with a plan. He thinks about the time when he was in one of these places before, all the lies he has told to get what he wants. He knows that he can do it again, that he can convince the doctors and the staff here that he's okay, that he's not a danger to anyone.
And then he can go back to Dwight. He can make everything right again, can make Dwight happy again. He just needs to figure out how to escape this place.
He had their little apartment, where they could be together without any interruptions. He closes his eyes and imagines Dwight's smiling face, the way his eyes light up when they watch their favorite movies together, the way he sighs contentedly when Jim gives him a massage. He can almost feel the warmth of Dwight's body pressed against his own. He misses the way Dwight's skin felt under his fingertips, the way his hair smelled after a bath. He misses everything about Dwight, and it's driving him insane. But now, he's stuck in this place with doctors and nurses who just want to poke and prod him and give him pills that he knows won't make him better.
He wants to see Dwight. He needs to see Dwight. It's been months since he's been able to touch him, to hold him close and feel his warmth. He knows that what he did was wrong, but he can't help the way he feels. He's clinically obsessed with Dwight, and he knows that he'll never be able to let go of that obsession.
Suddenly, there's a knock on the door, and a nurse comes in. Jim's heart races with excitement, thinking that maybe it's Dwight, but he knows deep down that it's not. Dwight wouldn't come here, not after everything that's happened.
"Mr. Halpert, it's time for your therapy session," the nurse says, smiling at him.
Jim scowls at her. He doesn't want therapy. He doesn't want to talk about his feelings or his past or any of that nonsense. He just wants to be with Dwight. "I don't want to go to therapy," he says, his voice shaking with anger. "I want to see Dwight. Where is he? Is he okay?"
The nurse's smile fades, and she looks at him with concern. "I'm sorry, Mr. Halpert, but you know that's not possible. You're here to receive treatment, and seeing Dwight isn't part of that treatment plan."
Jim slams his fist against the wall, feeling the anger and frustration boil up inside him. He hates this place, he hates the people here, and most of all, he hates himself for what he did to Dwight and to Greg. "I need to see him," he says, his voice getting louder. "I need him. He's the only one who understands me, who loves me."
The nurse takes a step back, looking a bit frightened. "Mr. Halpert, I understand that you're upset, but you need to attend your session. Maybe after your therapy, we can talk about it."
Jim grits his teeth, feeling like he's about to explode. He can't take this anymore. He wants to lash out, to hurt someone, anyone. "I don't want to go to therapy," he growls. "I want to see Dwight. And if you don't let me, I'll make you regret it."
The nurse's eyes widen, and she takes another step back. "Mr. Halpert, please calm down. I don't want to have to call the orderlies again."
Jim snarls, "I could kill you, if I wanted to. I could make you suffer just like Greg did."
The nurse gasps in horror, taking another step back. "If you make one more comment like that, Mr. Halpert, you're going to be restrained again," she warns, her voice shaky but firm. "Now, come on, it's time for your session."
