okay I would like to preface this by saying I may or may not have just updated the google drive in my bio with a "Mr. Schrute" NSFW Jim x Dwight video.... I CAN'T HELP MYSELF I'M SORRY (˚ ˃̣̣̥⌓˂̣̣̥ ) (ó﹏ò。)

*TW mentions Suicide, Self Harm, Drug Abuse, Age Difference, Student Teacher relations*

Jim trudges through the worn-out streets of the poverty-stricken neighborhood that houses his apartment, hours after his emotional meltdown in class. The buildings are weathered, their faded facades telling stories of hard times and worn-out dreams. He walks with a mechanical indifference, his eyes cast downward, avoiding any connection with the world around him.

His footsteps echo in the desolate surroundings. The rejection of his teacher, Mr. Schrute, is a heavy cloak that wraps itself around him, and Jim sinks deeper into the abyss of his own thoughts. Tears that once flowed abundantly down his face have dried up, leaving behind the residue of emotional exhaustion. The absence of his backpack and jacket, left behind in the classroom during his emotional outburst, serves as a stark reminder of the fragments left behind in the wake of his implosion.

Approaching the dilapidated apartment building, Jim ascends the steps with a weary gait. The key turns in the lock, and the door creaks open, revealing the dimly lit interior of the small apartment he begrudgingly calls home.

Jim's mom, a haze of smoke enveloping her, looks up from her worn-out armchair, concern etching lines into her weathered face.

"Jimmy, what happened? Where's your stuff?" she asks, her voice carrying a mixture of worry and a hint of annoyance.

Jim doesn't respond, his eyes avoiding his mother's gaze. Instead, he walks past her without a word, heading straight to his room. The door slams shut, and the audible click of the lock seals him in his solitude.

Confused, Jim's mom follows him to his room, knocking gently on the closed door. "Jimmy, please, what's going on? Did you get expelled? Suspended?" she questions, the anxiety in her voice palpable.

Silence hangs in the air for a moment before Jim's muffled voice responds from behind the door. "Just leave me alone, Mom. Go get high with that asshole you're dating."

Jim's mom sighs, a mixture of frustration and resignation in her tone. "He's not here right now, okay? We could go get some dollar store ice cream, just like we used to when you were little. What do you say?"

A heavy pause lingers in the air, and Jim's mom can almost feel the weight of her son's internal struggle. Finally, his voice, choked with unshed tears, seeps through the door. "I just need to be alone right now, okay? Just... go away."

Jim's mom stands outside the closed door, the sound of her son's stifled sobs seeping through the cracks. She knows she can't force her way in; Jim has always been a private person. After a moment, she retreats, leaving Jim to grapple with the emotional storm raging within him.

Alone in his room, Jim lets the tears flow freely, his sobs echoing the ache in his heart. The rejection, the loneliness, and the shattered dreams weigh heavily on him. His trembling hands fumble around his room, knocking over a few items in his haste. His vision blurred by tears, he desperately grabs a crumpled piece of paper and a pencil.

As the lead touches the paper, Jim's sobs intensify. Each stroke of the pencil echoes the tumult of emotions within him. He begins to write, the words forming a heartbreaking farewell letter.

"Goodbye."

Jim pauses, the word heavy on the page, an ominous declaration that echoes the darkness in his heart.
