"I uhm that would be me.." I stammered while Rengoku's orange and red eyes pierced my soul, I swear if he stared any harder my body would burst into flames.
"WELL, THEN L/N I'M HAPPY TO MEET YOU!" He said..well technically yelled but this is his inside voice...
"It's nice to meet you too?" I said with a perplexed expression, I had no idea what the fuck was happening.
Rengoku then took it upon himself to sit down at our table, he was a lot more intimidating in real life than in the anime/manga. Though he was intimidating I got a sense of comfort around him, his aura practically radiated off heat but the warm and passionate kind.
"GREAT I'M RENGOKU KYOJURO IF YOU DIDN'T ALREADY KNOW! " He exclaimed, "Atuso may I please have a bowl of udon?" He continued.
"Oh you know Mr.Sasaki?" Sumire asked with a small smile, surprisingly we were all able to stay calm in this situation. Though we were all internally panicking.
"OF COURSE I DO! IM SHOCKED YOU GUYS DON'T KNOW. Especially you y/n considering he is your caretaker," he answered making my eyes grow wide.
HE'S MY WHAT NOW???
I looked to my friends for help because I was utterly shocked and overwhelmed, I had no idea what to say. Sean was giving me a look telling me to stay calm and go along with everything, Sumire wasn't freaking out and was genuinely serious which gave me motivation to put on a brave face, Aubrey was also chill. She gave a reassuring smile that everything was going to be okay.
"W-well yeah but he just never mentioned you." I lied while awkwardly smiling at the flame hashira. Rengoku then gave me a confused looked before he said
"HE SHOULD HAVE! YOU'RE BECOMING MY TSUGUKO YOU SURELY KNOW AT LEAST THAT BIT?"
My heart felt like it stopped for just a second and anxiety brewed in my stomach like a pot of tea.
Me a demon slayer?
I'm dead
I DIDN'T KNOW!" I yelled out catching the attention of Mr.Sasaki, he strolled on over with a fresh bowl of udon for rengoku. Rengoku happily took the bowl from the old man and gave his thanks for the food before digging in.
"TASTY!" Rengoku cheered with a grin, Sean and Aubrey snickered at his sudden outburst, Sumire gave him a closed-eyed smile while sweat dropping.
"I am so sorry it seems I forgot to mention this to you y/n." Astuo suddenly explained with a small smile, he had a look on his face like there was not a single worry in the world.
