Is it so wrong to think that something is wrong with your family?
Probably.
I mean, we are perfect, aren't we? Everyone in the family is highly educated, we're revered people in our church, and we have a pretty good amount of money.
So what's wrong?
I'm not sure. Maybe I'm just confused. Or envious of someone else. That's bad. I shouldn't be jealous about anything.
But my sister told me that if I needed help with anything, I could go to her. Unfortunately, I'm at a young men's activity, and she's at work. She is picking me up, though. Maybe I can talk to her then.

I notice a guy put a hand on my shoulder. "You okay, Strebs? You usually don't sit on the curb alone like this." He said in a monotone voice. It was Rick Hedony.
I jump in surprise, but quickly compose myself. "Y-yeah, I'm alright, sorry. I just zoned out."
Rick nodded in understanding. "Alright. Mind if I join you?" He was a couple years older than me; he was 17, and I was 15. But we've been friends ever since his parents joined the ward about 9 years ago. Despite his monotone demeanor, he's actually a pretty fun person to hang out with.

"Have you thought about what you wanna be for Halloween?" Rick asked.
I quickly responded, "A vampire."
Rick looked at me, a little disappointed, "Again? You were a vampire last year," he stopped to think. "And the year before that."
I shrugged. "I like vampires."
I do like vampires. You can thank My Chemical Romance for that. Many people may say they're "satanic", but the lead singer does believe in God, and has faith in him, so I don't see an issue here.

(A/N: Yes, that's actually true. Gerard Way has stated in an interview that when the 9/11 attacks happened, he felt that he got a prompting from God to make some sort of change. So he started writing music. Just a lil fun fact.)

"Alright, man, do what you want," Rick responded. "But your closet is going to be full of vampire costumes."
"Not unless I wear the costume from last year."
"Please don't do that."
We both laughed a little.

Brother Roberts walked over to us. "Time for prayer, boys." He smiled. Brother Roberts has always been so kind to the youth. Not in a creepy way. He was just a genuinely nice guy.
"Alright, Brother Roberts!" I exclaimed with a smile.

But I still couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong...
It could just be my imagination. I'll talk to my sister about it.
