Kiyo's POV

The last few weeks has been the same; slaying dumb demons.

I didn't expect demons to be this dumb, really. 

Bragging about their power, giving me plenty of time to slice their neck.

But the past few weeks have also been weird.

It was like I was being watched. Like intensely. 

I thought I was overreacting, but no. I caught a glimpse of the strange aura. I'm pretty sure those were demons.

When I went to check, they were gone, and the aura had disappeared. 

I sigh. The feeling of me being watched wasn't there for about 2 days which just made me feel more uncomfortable.

I wonder if those pillars are looking for me. They were chasing me the last time I met them, no?

"Caw!"

'?!'

I look up into the sky to see a crow. Great, now crows are scaring me?

I was about to lower my head to the road again when my eyes catch something strange. I look up again.

The crow has a scarf on it.

Specifically, a purple one.

It spots me and glides down, landing perfectly on the dirt road. I blink.

"Caw!" It flaps its wings. "You are the girl from a few weeks ago that encountered Kanroji Mitsuri and Rengoku Kyojuro, right? Caw!"

I stay silent, processing things still. 

Never seen a talking crow.

I mean, I know about them, but never seen them actually.

"Ehem." The crow looks up at me, and I snap out of my thoughts.

"H-huh?!"

"You.. encountered Kanroji Mitsuri and Rengoku Kyojuro a few weeks ago..?"

"Erm.. yes--?"

The crow lifts its tiny bird feet. "A letter for you, miss."

I crouch down and carefully unwrap the letter tied against the crow's leg. 

Standing up again, I unfold the rolled-up paper and start reading.

Hello, young miss. My name is Ubuyashiki Kagaya.

I do not know your name, and you probably don't know me. That is fine for now.

I believe you are the girl that Kanroji and Rengoku encountered. I have given my crow a brief description of what you looked like. I hope they got the right person.
