Logan's POV

"Yeah I must, but I see you around" I said and walked away. 'Holy shit, I just talked to THE Babylynn Rhodes and she didn't kick my ass'

Everyone knows that Baby is feisty and has a tendency for being aggressive towards people but she also has a soft side, which I know more about now.

Baby is a very different from other girls and I guess that's why every guy at our school is attracted to her. She doesn't get mad over things like when someone says something or accidentally bumps into her, she gets mad when people think they are worth than others or when someone has double morals. Baby always stand up for herself and for people who can't stand up for themselves, she's a really good friend but she is also scary as hell.

I made my way over to my car and drove towards my sisters kindergarten, I actually didn't lie because I had to pick her up. It always been like that, our dad left when our mom got pregnant for a younger woman who we found out he had cheated with for 7 years.

I hate my dad and I always will, he started a new life with new kids and forgot about me and my sister.

About 3 years ago my mom started drinking really much so I basically had to take care of my baby sister by myself. I love her so much her name is Maxine but everyone calls her Max. She has blonde hair and blue eyes just like me and she is probably the most annoying but also kindest 4 year old I've ever met.

When I say I take care of her I don't mean that our mom is never home or always passed out, she cooks dinner and do laundry and stuff like that but I always play with her and take her to the park. I know our mom loves us and we love her I just want her to be like she used to be before dad left.

I pulled up at Max's kindergarten and I saw her sitting on the swings with a bunch of other kids her age.

"Logiiii!" Max shouted and ran as fast as she could with her short legs.

"Hey Max!" I said with a smile and picked her up and put her on my hip.

"Had a good day?" I asked and kissed her temple.

"Yes, I jumped from the swings and got a boo boo but I'm big girl so I got a pwety bandage" she said with a big smile showing me her bandage decorated with unicorns.

"That's my girl" I said and tickled her and she giggled.

Max said goodbye to all her teachers and friends and we got back to my car. I started the car and drove off.

"Can we pwease eat candy?" Max asked with puppy dog eyes.

I remember I still had some sour patch kids in my backpack so I picked them up and gave them to her.

"Here" I said with a smile and her eyes lit up with excitement.

"Loves you!" She said with the biggest smile ever.

"Loves you too" I said.

I couldn't help but think about how much I actually means to her, I'm the only person who showed her what love is. I mean, sure our mom loves her but she isn't really good at showing it with actions.

I opened the door and me and Max walked in and saw mom standing in the kitchen making some dinner.

"Oh hey guys. Had a good day?" She said.

"Yes mommy" Max said and hugging her.

"That's amazing honey. What about you Logan?" She asked me.

"Yeah it's was good, had soccer so that's fun" I said with a smile.

Max sat down at the kitchen table and started drawing with her new crayons and I made my way to my room. I lived in the basement because we had a one story house so I took the basement so I could have some privacy.
