Chapter 10

I had changed into some more comfortable clothes and done some of my homework so now I wasn't doing anything specific. I walked out of my room, down the stairs, towards the kitchen to have something to drink. As I passed the living room I saw Drew and Emma watching something. Drew had his arm on the couch behind Emma and they looked really cute, just don't tell Drew I said that.

I opened the fridge and took out a bottle with sparkling water with taste of grapes, which is my favorite. I opened the bottle and took a long swing of it, then I walked over to the living room.

"Hey, lovebirds! Watcha doin?" I asked simply.

"What do you want Baby?" Drew said annoyed, not answering my question.

"Drew! Don't be so mean she was just asking us a question" Emma said hitting his arm. I looked at her smiling and then back at Drew.

"Ouch! Y-yeah, sorry. We're just watching Netflix"

"Cool... uhm well, is it okay if I skate around for a while?" I asked. I love skateboarding, the feeling of your hair flying in the wind and I haven't done it in a while.

Drew looked up at me, searching for anything that would look suspicious.

"Sure, but only so you'll leave us alone" Drew answered "Do not talk to strangers and wear a helmet"

"In your dreams" I mumbled

"What was that?" He furrowed his brows

"Nothing, see you later"

"Yeah yeah"

I put on my converse and grabbed my board, I walked out and put the board on the road. Then I put on some music in my air pods and started skating down the street.

I saw a few families who just got home and some people walking their dog. I passed a park and saw a gas station, I jumped off my board and carried it in my hand but held it at my hip for support.

The door jingled when I walked in, I walked over to the snack isle. I looked around and saw a bunch of chocolate bars and some other items. When I couldn't find anything I wanted I walked over to the drink isle and saw a pepsi max can and I decided to buy it. I opened the glass door and grabbed a can.

I walked over to the checkout and saw a guy about Leo's age working there. I put the pepsi on the desk and waited for him to let me pay.

"Hello there" he said smirking at me, I gagged in my head at how gross he was.

"Hey" I said, giving him a cold look

"Do you live around here, or?" He scanned the pepsi and I took up my credit card that I always keep in my phone case.

"Uh, yeah why?" I looked at him with my eyebrows furrowed. 'Is he trying to flirt with me?!' I thought to myself.

"Nothing, I just wouldn't forget a pretty face like you" he grinned.

"Well I would definitely forget a face like yours, or at least try to" I snapped.

"Oh, she's feisty. I like it" I blipped my card and rolled my eyes.

"Whatever" I grabbed the can but he stopped me. "Hey! Can just leave me alone!"

"Wait princess, what's your name?" He asked.

"Not your business!" I fired back

"Calm down, I just wanted to get to know you" he put his hands up in surrender

"Well Matthew" I looked at his name tag "I don't want anything to do with you so I'm out"

"Whatever, you where probably just a slut anyways" he said and my face fell.
