Chapter 14

"Okay, Max. It's okay" I reassured her "Who are you here with?" I scooted down to her level.

"M-my brother" she dried her tears but continued to sob.

"Okay, we're gonna find him Max, I promise you" I said and rubbing her arm. She looked up at me and she nodded, she stood up and grabbed my hand, wanting me to stand up as well.

I got up and she clung to me, I get it though, she was scared and lost and I was the only safety she had right now.

"So what does he look like?" I asked.

"He h-has hair like me, but short then m-me" I smiled lightly at her.

"Okay, well he probably looking everywhere for you so maybe we should just wait here" she nodded and she stopped crying. We talked a little about her friends and what she likes to do.

"You pwetty" she looked at me with the cute little smile and her eyes glistened.

"Thank you, but you are way more beautiful" she smiled and took small steps closer to me.

"Up" she raised her arms and I picked her up. She immediately started to play with my hair. "Y-you have boyfwend?" She continued to fiddle with my hair.

"No, why?" I asked and chuckled a bit.

"Cause you pwetty" She giggled. "Every o-one is love with you" she smiled widely.

"Baby?! What are taking so long?" I heard Noah say from the distance. "There you ar- Who's that?" He asked.

Max tensed a bit in my arms but I rubbed her back to reassure her a little.

"Noah, this is Max. Max, this is Noah, my brother" I introduced them. "She can't find her brother so I'm keeping her some company" I smiled at her.

"Okay... well I guess I get the rest and you can just come when she's found again" Noah says smiling a bit and then he walks away.

"You also have big brother?" Max asked.

"Yeah, six actually" her eyes went wide.

"Six?!" She screamed. "How you alive?" She giggled a little.

"It's not that bad but-" I got cut off "Max?! Max?! Where are you, Max?!" A voice shouted.

A voice who I recognized.

Logan's.

"That is my brother" Max looked around for him. I let her down and soon after Logan appeared.

"Oh my god, Max, I've been so worried. You can't just run away from me like that, okay" she looked scared because of his tone. I think he noticed because he apologized for his stern tone.

Max ran up to him and he picked her up, she threw her hand around his neck like her life depended on it. Logan hugged her back and then looked up at me.

Logan's pov:

Max had ran into the store because she was excited, she almost never got to go to the store.

I had finally found her and then I realized who I found her with. Baby.

"Um... thank you, for not letting her die or something" I said softly looking at me, but she looked at Max instead.

"I guess it's cool, she wasn't a burden" she said in a low voice.

"Baby my best fwend now!" Max squealed by the excitement. I looked into her eyes and she smiled wildly at me. I put her down.

"Seriously though, thank you" I again and Baby looked at me.

"Yeah yeah, I know you only have her, it's fine really" she smiled a little. I totally forgot, I actually had a conversation with her a few days ago.
