Eyalu

Chapter 8

𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐓𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐢 𝐑𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥, 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐉𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐍𝐞𝐲𝐭𝐢𝐫𝐢.

"When are you going to tell the poor girl?" Ronal asked Tonowari.
"Keeping this from her will only damage her in the future."
"I do not know how." Tonowari replied.

"Lo'ak has come to be many times upset because Eyalu keeps saying she's going home when everyone knows but her she isn't.."

"It is not right.." ronal Held His arm tightly.

"I know.. Ask Ao'nung to invite her for dinner tonight. Then we will tell her.." he hold onto ronals hands.
She nodded.

Eyalu was tidying up Her Mauri pod, Ao'nung Walks in.

"Eyalu?"

"Yes Ao'nung?" She was friendly to him but still hurt by his words.

"My family has invited you to join us for dinner tonight." He smiled.

She thought for a moment. "Well since I will be heading home tomorrow I suppose we can say our goodbyes tonight!"

His smile faded bearing those words as he knew what was being said tonight will hurt her.

"I need to get ready so out!" She giggles shooing him away
He laughs along with her with his hands up.

She walked to their Mauri tidying up her hair a bit before knocking on the pole.
Ronal and Tonowari came to greet her.
She bowed her head down in respect greeting them.

"No need to be formal, you are our guest!" Ronal smiled at her.

She nodded following them to the place they would eat. She sat next to Ao'nung and Tsireya, sitting in between them.

After eating Tonowari and Ronal sent Ao'nung and Tsireya out, Tsireya and Ao'nung both hearing the conversation outside.

"Eyalu.. This is not easy to say.." Tonowari said, He grabbed the note out of his pouch.
"What isn't easy to say?" She said anxiously. He passed to note to her.

She open It beginning to read the note.

'Tonowari, I have Sent my eldest daughter to you to warn you,  the sky demons are looking for Jake sully at every village.. Even ours.. which is why I do not want Eyalu to come back to our village. The sky demons will be back soon.. I believe to end us.. we will not tell them Jake sullys location. But I want you to promise you won't let my Daughter Eyalu to come back. You must protect her! - signed.. Ne'ts'ka.'

As she read the note her eyes could not help but water.. Her eyes wide open shocked at what she was reading! She looked up at them

"I have to go back!" She said urgently

"I am sorry Eyalu.. we cannot let you"
He's looking down

"I have a young sister! No older that Tuk! I have to go back for her!" She raises her voice as tears flew down her face dropping onto the floor.

Ronal looked at Tonowari pitifully, she couldn't help but want to go and get the young girl.
"Please.." she begged
Tonowari looked at ronal. she nodded.
"Fine. But we will send people with you, to make sure you come back"

"Thank you!" She thanked them, She ran out to pack her bags as she sobbed in private.
As she sobbed she heard someone come in.

"Eyalu..?" Neteyam said.

"Neteyam! Leave!" She said covering her face as she was too embarrassed to let him see her cry."

"Are you crying?" He said walking toward her bending down
"Do you not speak Navi? I said leave" she looked away.
He completely ignored her only concerned of the fact she was crying.

"What's wrong?! Are you okay?" he gently grabbed her face and turned it to him. He saw her puffy eyes and runny nose.

"I am fine!" She tried to push him away but ending up falling into his arms.
"Woah easy" he said holding her

She sobbed quietly in his arms.. He tried to comfort her, she noticed this and allowed him to hug her.

"I'm not going home.." she said quietly, he heard.
".. I know I'm sorry.." he said stroking her hair gently.

"What do you mean you knew?"

"Everyone practically knew but you.." he said

She looked up at him.
He looked down at her.. her eyes were super puffy, Tears still dropping down her face.

"I'll always be there for you.." He said looking down at her with a smile on his face.

They both stare at each others faces.. Neteyam Looks at her eyes then her lips.. They start leaning toward each other..

They share a passionate kiss..
They both stop and look at eachother. Neteyam let's go of her.

"I'm sorry! I didn't mean to-."

She starred at him blankly..
"I'll go now so you can finish packing.." he got up.
"Wait- it's oka-" before she could finish he was already gone..

She wondered to her self as she watched him run away..

Did he not want to kiss me..? Did he only kiss me because he felt bad?! Maybe he doesn't really like me and got caught in the moment..
