Chapter 11

Neteyams Pov

He had heard the news from Tsireya about Eyalu, In a Heart beat he was heading toward her Mauri.. He cared about her more than he had ever cared about someone.

Once he arrived at the Mauri he heard her silent sobs and things banging,
He didn't even think to knock and he just barged right in.

"Eyalu..?"

"Neteyam! Leave!" She shouted hiding her face
He could tell she was embarrassed but only cared about her.

She was laying in his arms and he gently stroked her hair as she sobbed in his arms, He felt guilty that he never confessed to knowing.

Their eyes met.. it was like staring at a whole new world to him.. He loved everything about her and wanted to know everything about her.
They shared a passionate kiss.
He pulled away realizing what he just did.

"What have I done?!" He thought.
He had left abruptly leaving without telling her a answer to why.. All he thought was he screwed up. She always mentioned how she hated that boys took advantage of her.. He thought that's what he just did!

The next day, Jake and Neytiri sent Neteyam with her as they felt guilty it was they're fault.. he agreed but avoided all social contact as he didn't know what to tell her.

They arrived.

He was shocked by the dead bodies everywhere... He saw her collapse onto the ground, he wanted to comfort her but he didn't know how to talk to her after that night.. The warriors sent him to look for survivors..
He heard her cries.. He felt her pain

It hurt him, He beat himself up every second he heard her cry but didn't have the courage to confront her after that night. He came across a bracelet on her sisters Wrist.. He checked the little girls pulse.. no response..
He took the charm off the little girls bracelet and stored it in his little pouch.

They head home

He watched her Mauri for days helplessly.. Waiting for her to come out.. she never did..
"Staring won't get her to come out." Kiri said behind him.

He turned to her. "I feel bad"
She smacked him on the back of his head "you should! You ignored her when she opened up to you"

"And your to coward to confront her now!" She said disappointed

He took the beatings from his sister as he felt he deserved it
"I don't know what to say.."
he was looking down clearly in distress.

She felt bad.. "Maybe talk to her.. she needs someone right now Tey" she held his shoulders attempting to comfort him.

"I don't know how to talk to her.. I am basically brain dead" he gently pushed her away smacking his head.

She held the hand that was smacking his head.
"Smacking yourself won't make you less brain dead.."

He felt as Kiri was the main one he could talk to about his problems, Because she wouldn't sugar coat anything, He adored her honesty!

Days go by and it's now the day of the Celebration.

Girls kept coming up to him, he wasn't interested but didn't have the heart to tell them so he went along with it.

His eyes were drawn to Eyalu when she walked in.. They made eye contact again but he freaked out and looked away and walked away
Your such a coward just talk to her!!

He made up an excuse to get away from the girls surrounding him and was going to try and talk to Eyalu at the food table.. He went over and faced her.. He was frozen.. all the words he wanted to say to her disappeared and he panicked! He grabbed a piece of fish and ran off
Shit why is this so hard?!

The music started playing and He was staring at Eyalu dancing, The way her hips swayed, Her hair flowing in the wind, the smile on her face that he missed so much.. He was zoned out just thinking about all the things he wanted to do with her..

He then saw her dancing with an Metkayina boy, it made his blood boil that he wasn't man enough to be the one to dance with her. He stared as they danced, The Metkayina boy started to inch closer to her, He knew what that boys intentions were.

He was sick of watching and decided to go over there, He pushed the Metkayina boy off of Eyalu, The Boy pushed him back and that's how the fight started, Tsireya and Lo'ak broke it up,
shit i broke his nose..

He went and grabbed Eyalus Wrist to bring her away from the party so he could talk to her in private.

They didn't get to far but far enough no one would hear them. He felt her yank her wrist back.

"What's your problem?!" She said
"My problem?!" He answered without thinking, He was so mad, He wasn't even mad at her but he was mad at himself for being a coward.

"Yes your problem dammit!" She shouted at him.

"Since when did you start flirting with boys?!" He answered again without thinking.

"Since when was it your business?" She replied.

He saw her as she tried to walk back to the party and panicked a bit and grabbed the first thing he could, Her waist 😏
He gently spun her to face him gripping onto her waist, Her petite waist fit in his hands perfectly, He froze, His eyes wide staring at her face. They stared at eachother, all he could think about was all the things he wanted to say to her, Do to her.

Not long after, she pushed him off her.
"You switch up so fast-"

As she yelled at him all he could do was take it all.. He stayed silent trying to find the words to make this all right. But he was so nervous he couldn't even get a word in.

"You said you would be there for me!" She shouted

As she yelled at him his heart sunk, He realized he messed up but didn't know what to do or say, He was a hot mess..
she walked off upset

He could tell she was crying and wanted to comfort her and tell her how he feels but didn't want to scare her off, All he wanted to do was hug her but she rejected that to, He understood though.. So instead he watched her walk away..

Days go by and he saw her come out of her Mauri every night.. he didn't know how to confront her so he sent Lo'ak to try and get some information on how she feels.

"Lo'ak go over there and comfort her for me! And also ask her about me." He said pushing Lo'ak over to her

He watched as they talked. All he could think about was making this all right and then ATLEAST being friends again.

He saw Lo'ak coming back to him, Neteyam smiled hoping for good results but his smile started to fade as he saw his disappointed brothers face..

"What did you do bro.." Lo'ak said to Neteyam, His face looked as if he just went through war..

"What did she say..?"

"Are you sure you want to know?" Lo'ak said with a distressed face

He nodded

"She called you a lying man-whore.."

He was shocked
"That's four words." Neteyam replied

Lo'ak shook his head
"Is that seriously what you clinging onto from that answer?!" He said concerned.

Neteyam shrugged

Lo'ak aggressively slammed his hand on his brothers shoulder shaking his head in disappointment

"You need to do something so special and breathtaking to ATLEAST Fix your relationship!" He said concerned yet also making fun of Neteyam in a way.

Neteyam slapped his hand off his shoulder annoyed at him.

Then it hit him he knew exactly what to do!
