It was after eclipse and Eyalu has went out to feed her ilu..
She threw the fish for her ilu, Ayotu.
It brought a smile onto her face as it always did.
Just then She felt and tap on her shoulder.
She looked back and it was Neteyam.
He was looking down, His hands were behind his back obviously trying to hide something.
When she saw him her smile turned to a frown, She was still upset at him, and hurt by his actions.
He slowly went to stand beside her looking at her, She turned to look the other way trying to avoid eye contact.
She then felt his cold fingertips gently touch her chin, gently pulling her face to face him.
They're eyes locked, Neither of them knowing what to say.. Eyalu then broke the silence and eye contact.
"What is it you want..?"
"Eyalu.. I want to say I am sorry.." he said in a quiet tone..
"After the kiss i didn't know what to say to you or act around you. I felt like i took advantage of you.." his voice cracked a bit as he looked down..
"Why do you think you took advantage of me Neteyam..?" She said as she placed her cold hand on his warm one.
"..Because you had just found out some bad news and then I kissed you, I didn't think you really wanted to."
"Neteyam.. If i didn't want to kiss you I wouldn't have.. " She took his hand and interlocked it with hers, Causing him to look up to her.
"And if I thought you took advantage of me i would've kicked your ass! She said teasing.
They laughed together.
Her ilu Popped it's head up out of the water, Attracting Eyalu and Neteyams attention.
Eyalu laughed at her ilu, She then stood up, She moved her hair off her shoulder and walked towards her ilu.
"Come! Ride with me!"
"Really? Are you sure?"
She nodded and signaled him to come.
She performed Tshaylu, Then mounted the ilu, She scooted herself forward giving room for Neteyam.
Neteyam walked over towards her and stood there in confusion.
"What are you waiting for?" She said as she patted the space behind her.
He chuckled and then mounted the ilu aswell, he wrapped his arms around her waist gently.
Her heart started beating fast and she was a little flustered, She quietly laughed it off.
"Hold on tight, we're going in."
She then dives the ilu down.
At eclipse everything under water glowed, It was a beautiful sight. That is why Eyalu always came out at night
Neteyam was mesmerized, As his time spent here was always during the day he never saw the beauty of the ocean at night.
She looked back at him, A smile took over her face as she saw Neteyams Mesmerized face.
She turned to him and signed
"Isn't it pretty?" She said with a smile on her face.
He nodded and gave her back a smile.
After a little while they ended up stopping at a rock, They dismounted the ilu and climbed on top of the rock.
They both sat down together and looked up to the sky.
"My father came from a star" neteyam said pointing to the stars, He then looked at her as she looked to where he pointed.
She looked back at him and they're eyes locked.
"Your so beautiful.. You know that?" Neteyam said with a smile on his face.
She laughed and nodded
"Oh wow!" He laughed
"Your words not mine!"
"Oh right! I made you something!" He said as he reached into his pouch.
She looked to him, Deep down she was excited and very eager to see what he made for her.
He pulled out a necklace, With a Seashell charm, That charm belonged to her sister, It was the only thing she couldn't find.
Her eyes got teary, Her smile was huge! She was shocked
He opened her hand and laid it in her hand. He looked up to her and saw her eyes teary and her smile, It warmed his heart.
"Neteyam.. "
Before he could say anything she hugged him tightly, Her cold body laid on his warm one, He was surprised but happy.
"Put it on me!" She handed the necklace back.
She turned around and moved her hair out of the way.
He then clipped the necklace on, She turned to him and they locked eyes once again.
They were both smiling at each other, As they leaned in for a passionate kiss.
A kiss that perhaps leads to more then just a kiss?
