I DON'T OWN TOH!

If I did, all of them would be getting free therapy.

Gus POV:

*crunch crunch crunch* The sound of gravel travels through the quiet scenery as two teens are walking over it.

A few minutes go by as Matt and I are walking together.
I look beside me to see what he is doing.

All I see is him looking down at the ground with a gloomy face.

Why does he look so unhappy?

Hmm. Maybe I should try to cheer him up! I smile to myself...

But how? I wonder, observing my surroundings.

I look ahead of us to see a bridge we have to cross.
A joyful memory of baby me comes across my mind.

I remember how I used to sing my troll song as I hoped along the bridge, oh how that made my dad laugh....

THAT'S IT! I'm sure he will love it, plus I haven't done it in a while.

I smile, hoping towards the bridge.

Matt POV:

Why did it hurt when we stopped hugging? I say to myself in deep thought.

The sound of fast steps wake me from my thought.
I look over to see Gus running towards the bridge.

Why?

I quicken my pace to catch up and he starts to..... Sing?

"If you want to cross the bridge my sweet, you've got to pay the toll" He sings, skipping across the bridge.

"Take a gulp and take a breath then say NOT TODAY TROLL!" He laughs, pointing to the 'troll' under the bridge. A bright grin forms on his face.

I smile and start to break down in laughter.

Tears start to form in my eyes as my laughter continues.

*sigh* I take breath, wiping the tears away from my eyes.

"Where did you learn that?" I ask Gus, walking beside him.

"My dad made it up for me when I was little, since I was scared of crossing bridges because a 'troll' might snatch me up and take me away. So whenever I was scared to cross a bridge, I sang that song" He answers with a joyful grin.

"Is there something you liked to do with your parents?" Gus asks a question I wasn't ready for.

"Oh.. My parents and I never really had the best relationship due to their work"

"Oh..." His voice goes quieter.

"But my brother Steve used to sing me a nighttime song when I was little, it helped me sleep" I smile, thinking of the song.

"Awe that's nice" Gus beams a beautiful smile towards me.

"I-uh yeah I guess" I stumble over my words, his smile caught me off guard.

His smile is so....

Beautiful...

...So welcoming....So....

Cute...

What!?..... Why did I just call him cute!? N-no I just find his company nice! Yeah.. Nice..

"Hey guys!" Luz yells, running up to us.

"Whatcha doin?" She smiles.

"Oh nothing, Matt just asked if I could walk with him" He explains.

"Ohhh really?" A smirk forms on her face.

"Yeah, what are you doing?" Gus wonders.

Probably waiting for her stuck up girlfriend.

"I'm waiting for Amity"

Hah just as I thought.

Suddenly the loud bell screetches, announcing that another day of hell had just begun.

"I'll see guys later!" She waves, walking away towards her class.

"Let's get to our class before our teacher gets mad" Gus smiles towards me.

"Oh um yeah let's go"
