Diamond
It's Saturday morning, Khalil called me late last night asking me to do a shoot with him today. I really just wanted to sleep in but I would be alright. We had breakfast first at Starbucks, then we headed to our destination. The vibes were cool so far, I met a few friends of his, the majority of them were content creators and worked behind the cameras. Brooklyn even pulled up to watch me model a bit, afterwards I have to do her hair because apparently she's going out with her friends tonight.
"Girl you look so good." Brooklyn said smiling at me.
"Thank you Girl."
"That Arch though....I'm tryna get behind that." Khalil stated winking at me.
I just blushed watching as he continued snapping photos of me as I posed.
"I can't believe you like him, I stay away from these dudes." Brooklyn mumbled in disgust.
"Says the girl who got a one year old and a whole another baby on the way."
"Aye, chill off me...deadass." Brooklyn frowned looking embarrassed.
"Nah, stay away from dick. Only nineteen and got another one on the way..relax." Khalil stated in a stern tone.
"I swear you think you're my dad." Brooklyn responded rolling her eyes.
"Somebody has to be...we never found him."
"Whatever Khalil.....Diamond I'll be back I'm going to get me some more food." Brooklyn said now looking sad.
"Ok." I smiled watching as she walked out of the building.
"You don't think you were a little too hard on her?" I asked standing up.
"Nah, not really..she needed to hear that."
"But she'll be twenty in a few weeks, and she's in cosmetology school..she's hustling...it's not like she's lazy or anything."
"I know..but she's easily manipulated when it comes to love...she doesn't need to have a baby with every guy she meets."
"Yeah..I understand..but she's grown..it's life..you live and you learn."
"I guess you right....i just really want the best for her..that's all." Khalil shrugged.
"She's gonna be fine." I assured him touching his shoulder.
"I know...her dad wasn't there for her at all... we don't even know who he is or how he looks."
"Geeesh I'm sorry to hear...but maybe one day she'll find him or he finds her."
"Mhmmm, hopefully...you wanna stay the night with me?"
"Sir I can't live at your place...you've been holding me hostage since Thursday....we just met." I chuckled but i was being serious.
"Yes you can." Khalil smiled over at me.
His smile made me melt every single time.
"Ok...I'll think about."
"Good."
I had to tell myself to stay focused immediately.
But he's way too perfect for me.
Although we just met, I know I'm falling for him fast and hard also.
I can't help it...he's everything and more but I don't want to move on so fast.
I still have some respect for Levi somehow...I guess...but who knows what he's doing? He probably has moved on from me already.
But hey that's life.
