Shari
I woke up to David knocking on my door earlier this morning. He brought the girls over here with him, surprisingly. I let them in and immediately went back to sleep and so did they. I rolled over seeing that Dave and the girls were still asleep. It was now nine thirty. I decided to get up and go bother my parents. I hopped on the golf cart and drove over to their house.
"Good Morning Dad, Hi Mom." I spoke as I walked in they were up on the couch cuddling up, until I squeezed myself in between them.
"Hi babygirl." Dad stated as he kissed my forehead.
"Good Morning Shari. You didn't sleep in too late today." My mom said rubbing through my curls.
"I just decided to get up. I can't go back to sleep, David and the girls are all over the bed."
I could already see how my future would look.
"I've been up since seven a.m. I saw when Dave was let in through the gate. You two back together?" My dad smiled waiting for an answer.
"No...at least not right now. I have something to tell you two but don't say anything to anyone about it, I'll tell everyone else when I'm ready. I mean it..I already told Mike."
"Alright, what is it Marie?" Dad questioned.
"I'm pregnant, and it's Dave's."
"What? Are you serious?" My dad said as he sat up.
"Yes. See." I pulled out my ultrasound pictures.
"Aww sweetheart, I'm so happy! It's about time!" My mom clapped rubbing my belly. She then started crying.
"Thanks mom." I smiled hugging her. Then I focused my attention back to dad, who was still staring at the picture. I could tell he was happy for me but I also knew he was disappointed in me.
"Dad...aren't you going to say something?"
"Yes, Congratulations babygirl." He smiled softly at me, giving me a side hug.
"Are you disappointed in me?"
"Marie, I've finally come to the conclusion that you and your brother are grown now and you have your own life, I can't stop you from doing anything that you want to do. It's your life not mine. I love Ada with everything in me, so I'll definitely love your child too. I hope it's a boy."
"Aww thanks dad, I actually want a boy too. You guys have to promise you won't hog my baby like you do with Ada?"
"I'm not promising anything." My mom and dad stated at the same time laughing.
"I do want you to be someone's wife though one day, I can't wait to see that."
"Yeah, me too."
"Ok so what about your mental health? How is it going right now?" My mom asked.
