hao couldn't lie he was nervous to be coming to South Korea alone, he didn't speak fluent Korean and was only able to understand simple sentences. it wasn't going to be easy to fit in here but he was determined to at least try.
he walked down the dim street lit by light posts trying to locate the dance company he had called this morning. he didn't believe in the dumb "the world did this for me on purpose" but it was almost like the world was in his favor when he stumbled upon the paper during his walk to the local convenience store. he called as soon as he finished grabbing a couple of things and was thankful that the manager was able to get him in to tour tonight. he hoped that there would be at least one person at the company that he could befriend, there had to be right?
meanwhile, hanbin was in a rush to get out of his apartment making sure that even the slightest baby hair had been in place before he left. hanbin loved to make a strong first impression, of course, the first impression leaves a large impact on how someone may view you on your next encounter. after making sure he looked presentable, (it's not like he ever looks unpresentable but ok) he ran down the stairs and down the street towards the company. when he arrived he was faced with his manager standing in the middle of the dance room. "Hanbin, nice to see you're here on time! he should be arriving any moment now!" he stated with a smile.
right as he finished with his sentence they both heard the bell on the door signaling someone was there. hanbin was first to turn around with a large smile facing the smaller male who had walked in, "Hello welcome!!" he said excitedly. hao returned a light smile towards Hanbin slowly feeling the heat rise in his ears and face. Luckily he had been wearing a mask and his glasses so it wasn't very noticeable. hao couldn't lie, this man was attractive, from the way his hair was styled perfectly as if he had done it for hours (he quite literally did), to the way his eyes smiled along with him.
kicking hao out of his thoughts the company manager walked over extending his left hand for a handshake. he reached out as well, "it's nice to meet you Zhang Hao my name is Taerae and this is Hanbin," he said with a smile. "thank you for having me so early, not every dance company will just let someone tour the same day" hao spoke softly. hanbin smiled admiring the boy, already finding small quirks about the boy like how even though he seemed shy his eyes spoke more words than him, or how when he blushes he covered his face."let's get going shall we?" Taerae spoke leading both toward the first dance room. taerae was quick to show the first dance practice to Hao, but also quick to let Hanbin take control of the tour as he had a call to attend. hao was nervous, he was alone with this boy that he had just met let alone an attractive man. hanbin lead hao to the following dance rooms and showed him the cafe and locker rooms. "so! I was wondering, where are you from Zhang Hao?" Hanbin asked with a smile, "oh I traveled from China! I came here to study business but I have a passion for dance that I don't want to let slip away, by the way, you can just call me Hao" he spoke a bit livelier than the first interaction the two had. "oh I also study business, I'm hoping of opening my own studio someday!" Hanbin replied "seems we have something in common already, you know besides dance" he giggled. hao shook his head up and down reassuring the other that he had been listening.
"let's exchange numbers, I'll need to get in touch with you so we can schedule our first couple of dance practices together," hanbin said showing hao his phone screen with the number on it. Hao saved his number and slightly smiled, "thank you for the tour I'm excited to start here!" he said. hanbin was also excited for Hao to start at the academy, he could tell just by the way the elder stood that he was a dancer at heart. he stood with poise and confidence even though his personality didn't necessarily give off the same vibe. he was curious about the boy, he was excited to meet the boy again soon. "well, I'll be texting you later on tonight to get our schedules worked out okay?" he said to hao. hao nodded and smiled as he thanked Hanbin again and walked out the door into the cold blustery air.
this was good. but not good. but good enough... Hao was nervous, he really wanted to get to know Hanbin. not only because he was attractive, but because he radiated an energy that reminded him of himself back at home. hao smiled as he started walking down the street toward his apartment.
"wait!! hao!!" he turned around to look who had been calling for him, he saw Hanbin standing at the entrance of the company. "I need to ask you something else!"
what could he possibly have to ask...
