it had been a while since jia had left hanbin and hao's care. jia had been doing well with her original family since she left them, learning how to say her first words and eating solid foods. she was growing up so quickly, and had hao and hanbin been able to see this they would be in tears. it was too bad that she had to leave the two in the first place, but who knew what would happen in the future?

"let's go for a walk" hao suggested, hao seemed to really like taking walks with hanbin. it was something about being able to be in nature and just take it all in that made him happy, you know besides dancing.
"okay, let me grab something quickly" hanbin spoke answering the boy's wishes and walked into the other room to grab his hoodie throwing it over himself.

the two walked hand in hand down to the han river, the two's favorite spot to go. they hadn't made their relationship official yet but almost everyone around them just knew the two had a thing for each other. it was obvious, the two would spend all their time together. hanbin looked at the small shops that lined the roads noticing a small store dedicated to baby clothes. he smiled lightly at the thought of taking jia to the store to pick out clothes when she was still around. he missed her, they both did, but it wasn't brought up very often.

"hanbin!" hao screeched, hanbin looking at the elder in confusion and worry. "what, huh, whats wrong" he spat out. "look!" he said stopping in place and looking a little further down the road. there she was, sung jia, in a small carriage being pushed by the women who had come to pick her up. except something was wrong. the man alongside the girl was someone very familiar to zhang hao.

he let go of hanbins hand rushing over to the two parents who stood with jia. "dad?!" he yelled at the man. the man looked up and hanbin noticed, he looked identical to hao. it wasn't like this wasn't complicated in the beginning but this made it a MILLION times more.

hanbin walked over to his partner who had already been in tears as all of his emotions poured out. "what are you doing here? with this woman, with a baby?!" he spoke loud enough for those around him to notice. "Son, listen it's a long story" he spoke trying to calm the boy down. "there's no story, you left Mom and me because I was gay, and here you are replacing us like we are nothing!" he spoke tears streaming down his face. hanbin hadn't ever seen hao this worked up before, even during their own fights. he reached out for hao's hand as he realized hao's father's eyes were following his every move. "i left you two because I cannot have a faggot of a son with my business in China, had word gotten out we would have all been destroyed" he spoke sternly. "it is clear you haven't come to your senses and still are playing this little game of yours" staring at hanbin as he spoke to his son.

a loud slap was heard, and a wince came from the older mans mouth. "i swear to god, who do you think you are to be calling me a fucking faggot, get over yourself dad, i like men, i like him, what the fuck are you going to do about it" zhang hao spoke with his teeth gritted. "i will ruin everything you have coming for you, you deserve to burn in hell" his father replied rushing the girl and jia away with him as they continued down the road away from hao and hanbin.

hao collapsed to the ground sobbing, shaking, at this point he felt powerless. his father had been someone who never understood him and only cared about what he did with himself and what woman he was going to marry. when zhang hao came out to his father his father beat him senseless, forced him to hook up with his friend's daughters, and even tried to arrange for him to get married once. hanbin picked the boy up cradling him as he walked them back to his apartment. "i've got you, we'll be home soon" he spoke into the boys ear wiping away the tears streaming down his face. "it's going to be ok. we dont have to talk, but i'm here" he spoke placing a small kiss onto the boys forehead.

hanbin carried zhang hao all the way to the apartment, the boy still crying. he placed him down onto the bed sitting next to him allowing for the boy to sob into his chest. hao sobbed until he fell asleep. his heart ached.

the words replayed in hanbin's head, "i will ruin everything you have coming for you". he closed his eyes, drifting to sleep alongside the boy.
