(tw mentions of abuse and derogatory language)

hao's childhood hadn't been the easiest. his father an elite businessman whose work was more important than hao and his mother. when his father was actually home he would be aggressive toward the two, demanding hao to do better with himself, and his mother to behave as if she was his personal slave. he couldn't trust men very well, it would scare him to grow attached to anyone.

hao had mustered up the courage to come out as homosexual to his parents after months and months of contemplating how he would bring it up. he had decided on just plain out-telling the both of them. hao knew that his father was homophobic, he would always degrade those he saw in public, behind closed doors of course. he put a large pressure on hao to be a "proper man" and pushed many different occupations and schooling onto the boy.

the night that hao decided to come out to his parents he had just gotten back from violin classes. the thought of his parents not knowing his interest and his father constantly questioning him as to why he didn't have a girlfriend or show any interest in girls was growing to be too much. he greeted his parents as usual, it was an odd occurrence to see his father home but with an upcoming business trip to Korea, he was busy gathering his stuff at home.

hao walked into the large ballroom-style dining room where his mother sat with a full glass of red wine, and his father demanded their chef to remake what they had made since it was cold. "i need to talk to you both" he spoke as he cracked his knuckles out of nervousness.

his mother looked up from her magazine and his father sat down at the table. "what is it son, make it quick i have many things to be doing" his father spoke coldly.
"i am gay." he spoke quickly, you know as his father requested.

what followed after he spoke that sentence was something he wish he could forget, but it stayed persistent in his mind.

"you are WHAT" his father rose coming up to the boy, grabbing him by his shirt. hao quivered, he knew the conversation wasn't going to go well but he hadn't expected his father to become physical. the sound of a palm against a cheek echoed in the room, the boy fell to his knees grasping his red cheek.

"I will not have a faggot of a son living with me, you either leave or I will!" he screamed as he stood over the boy. his mother stood from her chair running to the boy who was weeping on the floor. "how could you do this to our son" she rose her voice, with another sound of a smack echoing through the room they both quivered with each other. "don't you dare raise your voice to me, you are my wife you do as I say" he spoke to her.

the man grabbed his luggage that was already packed, and he would be leaving. "i will provide for your housing and food but you both are dead to me." he spoke coldly. "i am disgusted by you zhang hao"...

present day.

the golden sun shone through the curtains of the window. hao blinked his tired eyes open seeing that hanbin had been laying next to him. he chose to try not to remember what had happened last night, but it still hurt him. the night that his father had left he had never returned, and to know that he was with another woman with a child hurt him more. he had left and started a new life.

hanbin rose up in the bed leaning against the headboard, "good morning hao-ge" he spoke rubbing his eyes with his deep morning voice. hao looked up at the boy who had just awoken. how was it that he looked amazing no matter what time of day it was?  "good morning bin-ah" he spoke quietly. he was happy hanbin had been with him when he ran into his father. he wasn't sure what he would have done without him.

hanbin placed his hand on the boy's head lightly rubbing his head as to comfort him. with boba-like eyes he looked up at hanbin, who had smiled back down at him. "i kinda wanna kiss you." he spoke. turning red at the face and covering his eyes as he didn't even notice what came out of his mouth. hanbin didn't give the boy time to feel embarrassed as he leaned down and placed his lips on the boys lips. "don't have to say it twice" he spoke with a smile through the kiss.

pulling away from each other hao covered his face once again. he was smiling even though he was dying inside. he really liked sung hanbin, and he found him easy to trust. but he was scared to commit to him, after all, they all leave right?
