Love is Deception

Chapter 9- In New York

Ryu took out his Fiend Bane Bow and waited.

Fiends were flying everywhere. He knew it was Alexei's doing.

He shot an incoming fiend in the neck. As it flew down, he flung himself off the building and onto the fiend's back. They crashed onto the pavement, smashing through a car.

The fiend twitched and tried to fly again. Ryu unsheathed his sword and severed its head. With a quick flick of his blade, the blood slid off and he walked toward the giant pit.

The wind was stronger when he got there. Fiends flew everywhere. When he looked into the giant pit, bats scurried out. They looked like they're trying to get away from something.

One bat didn't scurry. It was trapped in the jaws of this giant pink fiend. It looked at Ryu in hunger and split the bat in half. With a growl, another pink fiend appeared, both charging at Ryu.

He dodged their claws and threw Incendiary Shuriken at them. Their hands and arms blew off, leaving them on the floor. He carefully walked towards them and sliced them in half, then cutting off their heads.

Looking back at the pit, rain began to fall. Ryu thought the pit was a shortcut to find Alexei. With that in mind, he jumped into the pit, falling towards the sewers.

From atop a skyscraper, Rin stared at him, smiling. Her blue eyes shined pure white.

"This should be fun"

She unleashed her dark bat wings and flew down the pit as well. Fiends followed after her.
