A Melody That Was Shining With Fake Dreams

Part 5 "Fondness"

25th October,

It was such a nice day. Birds were chirping, the sun hid behind the clouds and sometimes showed up, and the chilly wind was blowing.

Daniel and Amelia were sitting under the tree as always. That day, Daniel looked even more attractive to Amelia.

"Can you wait here? I'll come back within a minute or so," said Daniel.

"Sure, but you better hurry up," replied Amelia.

Soon Daniel was out of Amelia's view. After three to four minutes, he came back. He was holding something in one of his hands and he was hiding that by keeping his hand behind his back.

A red rose.

"What are you hiding?" Asked Amelia being curious. She tried to see what he was hiding behind his back but he didn't let her do so.

"Amelia, I have something to tell y-" He didn't finish his sentence when both of them heard a girl shouting from afar. It was Amelia's best friend, Eva.

"Amelia.....Hey! What are you doing there alone? Come back!" Eva shouted.

"Alone? I'm here with Daniel!" Amelia replied while shouting and being all annoyed.

Amelia looked at Daniel, then looked back at Eva. Eva walked towards them, when she finally reached them, she told Amelia,

"I'm sorry, I didn't notice him. Let's go back now, the bell already rang,"

"Oh okay then," Amelia looked at Daniel and waved him goodbye, he did the same too.

Amelia was so curious about what Daniel would give or show her. However, she cared about her studies quite a lot. So she just chose to leave with Eva.

26th October,

The next day, Amelia and Daniel, both of them arrived at the tree a little bit earlier than usual. Amelia was curious about the last day and maybe Daniel was excited.

"You were about to tell me something yesterday. I'm really curious, what is it?" Asked Amelia with hope. The hope was that maybe Daniel had the same feelings for her and he'd confess.

"Well...Amelia..." He looked directly into her eyes and she did the same. Daniel's eyes looked so delightful and charming that Amelia got lost in his eyes. But when he spoke again she had her heart racing.

"I bought a rose yesterday to confess my feelings for you. But I don't have it today, I'm sorry. So...I like you and love you, a lot. Will you be my girlfriend?" Said Daniel.

"I will.....I like and love you too," said Amelia. The reason why Amelia didn't hesitate at all was because she was already head over heels for him.

So why would she reject him or take the time to answer him? She waited for this moment patiently, not for so long but it sure felt the longest to Amelia.

Daniel smiled brightly. It was the brightest smile Amelia has ever seen him make.

Daniel leaned in and kissed her on the lips. Amelia was taken aback by the sudden action and she gradually accepted it. When they both broke the kiss, they looked into each other's eyes again, but this time full of love, fondness, affection, and lust.

"I'm so happy today," said Daniel with a smile.

"So am I," said Amelia.

Amelia further told him, "Let's make a promise, we'll be together for the rest of our lives no matter what. You won't leave me alone."

She reached her pinky out to Daniel.

"Sure, tell me you won't leave or forget me. And let's get married too."

He connected his pinky with hers.

"I want us to always be the happiest with each other by our side,"

said the boy who just sat down with the girl, holding hands.

"I want the same," Amelia replied while smiling at him and placing her head on his shoulders.

It was the first time Amelia dated or loved someone. People say that first loves don't work out. But she wished that her first love would work out.
