THE WALK back home was silent. When Takemichi mentioned Kazutora, it seemed that everything else Mikey had in mind had disappeared and instead was replaced with the engraved memories of that night.

Guilt had started taking place inside your chest again. It was an all too familiar feeling, one you tried to convince was unnecessary but a part of you also partly blamed yourself for what happened on the night of Shinichiro's death.

You had kept it to yourself and made sure no one else, not even the wind heard about it. But someone did in fact, the person who you knew would use it against you when needed.

Perhaps Kazutora was going to use this as a card to use you against your will, using your affection for Mikey. These run freely in your mind about the endless things he would use your involvement in.

Kazutora also knew for a fact that you would do anything just to be at Mikey's side more than anything else.

Mikey's voice managed to snap you out of your thoughts. He stopped walking to face you. He had his hands buried inside his pockets. "Are you okay? I know it's about Baji and knowing you, you're probably thinking about how to save him."

He offered an empathetic smile, reflecting your emotions for he also felt the same way. Only, you were currently thinking about something else entirely. Yes, it does concern Baji but this was different.

"I want to do everything I can to help him. I want to bring him back, Mikey." You were not just doing this for Baji but also for Mikey. You didn't want him to lose another person who he truly cherished, you don't want to see him fighting with himself again.

"That is why... I want to join Toman."

You expected him to deny your request right away, as he usually does. Mikey was willing to give and do everything for you, even if it meant using his blood, sweat, and tears. But this was the only request he'd never allow.

For your sake, he convinces himself that it was only necessary for you to stay away from that aspect of his life, despite bringing you along to toman meetings.

You were already present at every meeting, know everything about the gang, and know everyone by name. The only thing you needed was to become an official member by being recruited by a toman member, but in your case, it had to be Mikey.

"Watch your mouth before I take back my decision! I'm your president now remember?!"

You didn't know if it was because of Baji, or if he had his reasons but you were overjoyed. Not only were you going to get the opportunity to get baji back, but you also fulfilled a long-time dream of yours.
