I didn't continue further with this story because I kept focusing on my faceclaim's race: Lucy Liu. Since she is of Chinese descent, my Faceclaim for the main character was originally Japanese. I wanted to be accurate with who I picked as faceclaims for my characters.
So since I decided to focus more on the Chinese culture (by changing my main character's nationality), I got stuck in how the whole power system works and I wasn't interested in the new plot idea. I didn't get attached.
From that, I shelved the book. But now, ideas are changing and I am going back to when the main character was Japanese.
The ideas are new and the title will or may change. However, stay tuned.
