LET ME EXPLAIN: After their first books, the trio was going to appear in Darko-Man 2 to make discoveries about alien life and its connections to the Earth. Pamela (Lena Headey) and Ivan are married but have no kids yet. Since he's been busy traveling back and forth between Earth and home, he's got a lot of things on his plate. But the people of Earth have been worshipping a deity named Rainbow.

Ivan found it strange since he's heard histories of Rainbow being involved in both Earth and Alien life. So, the trio tries to dig in deep into what this deranged Willy Wonka is trying to do when hypnotizing both populations.
Once Ivan learns this information, Ivan wants to find Rainbow and possibly kill him. So, the trio try to search where he was and found him. As a whole mega-giant in his rainbow throne, he was in an isolated imprisonment dimension. Rainbow explained that he split half of himself in advance if something happened to him. So, he's kinda omniscient.
The trio plan to strike but Rainbow is unstoppable. Things get crazy when the other Gorrah aliens found them and wanted to help. Ivan's best friend Marty (Eddie Murphy) gets killed by Rainbow. He is set free and on the loose to cause more trouble and mayhem. Ivan mourns for his friend.
Ivan ceases to mourn and goes to avenge his friend's death. Epic fight between Rainbow and Ivan. Rainbow has an idea to get his wife since she's a weakness of his. He summons her in an instant. Rainbow plans to kill her if he won't destroy him. Ivan listens then lets Pamela go. They are embracing each other, scared to lose each other. Suddenly, Pamela stabs Ivan in the stomach. Plot twist. She's been an alien pretending to be human all along. Pamela is a warrior alien princess from another planet and blames Ivan for causing the genocide of her people.
Note: Well, the Gorrahians were always going to have wars with other alien races. So, there's been constant war back and forth where innocent aliens eventually died in them. Mostly, Ivan's father who was the king is a warrior leader. A lot of things happened in the past that causes tension between other races of aliens.
Rainbow wasn't surprised but the trio was. Now, their queen isn't who she says she is anymore. Dark truths start spiraling and it's explained that Pamela killed the real Pamela, posed as her to her family. Ivan is distraught by this information. Now, the trio decides to unite other heroes on Earth and other planets to stop Rainbow. Ivan has had it and will destroy him himself. An all-out bloody fight is happening between Rainbow and Ivan. Ivan kills Rainbow with a fist in the heart. Cooter kills fake Pamela but Ivan didn't want to kill her. He holds fake Pamela in his hands and she dies.
All of Gorrah hear the news. No one messes with Ivan at this point because he's a standalone king of Gorrah.
WHAT ELSE HAPPENED: Other adventure team-up books would be with the trio. Other new members of the trio group. But Ivan was supposed to be with Marty's younger sister, Carla, and they would have kids later in the stories.
Final Note: I will explain more in-depth the creation of the Gorrah planet and explain more about Rainbow's role.
