It was the middle of the night and my plan was set. I laid still in my bed trying to identify three sets of even breathing so it initiated that everybody was asleep. Knowing everyone was, I quietly got up still in the clothes Marci had given me after my shower and crept out of the door.

I tip toed through the narrow hall way and started to go down the stairs hoping none of them were squeaky.

“Lauren,” I heard Marci hiss from the top of the stair case. I froze cursing repeatedly in my head and slowly turned around.

“Where are you going?” She asked and Chad came to her side.

Just leg it, My wolf insisted and I had to say it wasn’t a bad idea. There was no chance two humans could catch up with my super wolf speed.

“I’m going home,” I told them bluntly and they gave me another questioning look.

“We’re coming with you,” Chad said and I instantly shook my head getting annoyed at them. I needed to go and find my mate. Now.

“Lauren, we know what you are,” Marci mentioned and I stiffened, they did, how?

“Our parent’s weren’t killed in a crash like my gran told you, they were killed by warlocks because they didn’t summit to them,” Chad explained and I gulped, did this mean they were wolves? Even if I could run they would track me down.

“Are you?” I asked wearily and the shared a look.

“Our father was,” Marci told me and I nodded, they were like me. Half human and half wolf.“We want in on your plan,” she added and I instantly shook my head, I wasn’t adding more people to my list.

“How do you even know about my plan?” I asked them and they shrugged.

“You’re wearing the same expression we had when our parents died, you came out of the woods and you’re a wolf, we aren’t stupid,” Chad snapped and I growled at him flashing my golden eyes at them. Chad seemed to take a step back unsure about my abilities.

“I’m not taking you with me,” I told them firmly and in a few seconds Marci was in front of me flashing me her white canines.

“They killed our parent’s,” She growled and Chad hurried to her side but not as merely as fast. I was impressed on how fast she was, maybe about the same speed as me.

In that moment, I could see the hurt and torture they both had in their eyes. I needed more people on my side if we stood a chance getting to them. I slowly nodded and Marci’s face softened.

“But we play it by my rules, understand?” I asked them and they slowly nodded. I sighed and turned back around. “Ok, follow me,”

I rushed out of the backdoor and into the dim lighted streets, it looked familiar and I instantly started to run back into the direction of the cabin.

There wasn’t a doubt they were fast but I was still faster. I loved the way the wind blew into my face and how the trees would fly past me in abnormal speed. I lost myself to my wolf as my mind was set on one thing and that was finding Jay.

The cabin was in sight and I couldn’t help the slight sting of tears that came to my eyes from the memories I had. I slowed to a jog and then to a full stop a few miles away from the cabin. There was still a few warlocks around the place but not as many as there was last night.

“What’s the plan boss?” Chad asked both of them coming to my side. I snapped my head to each of them and nodded forward.

“I’m going in as bait, I want you guys to follow them to where they take me and when I howl I want you to help me escape from there we can go and free my pack,” I told them finding it sounded a lot easier than it would be to do.

Chad and Marci looked at each other before looking at me, the nodded once and I took a deep breath in. I stared at the cabin and relaxed my muscles.

“Piece of cake,” I muttered and took a step forward. Before I could go any further Marci gripped tightly to my wrist. I looked back to her questioningly “Be careful,” She told me flicking her eyes down to my stomach, I was about to open my mouth to ask how she knew but shut it before any words could come out. Couldn’t hide anything from were-wolves.

I smiled half-heartedly and she freed me. I looked back at the cabin and made my way around the back trying not to get caught too soon. I didn’t want them to think it was too easy.

I walked silently up the steps and creaked open the door. His scent hit me like a tidal wave as I felt myself forward without my permission. It had been too long since I had smelt him.

Tears welled my eyes and I walked into the centre of the room where I could remember all too well him being pinned down onto the carpet.

I knew there were warlocks around me but for some reason they weren’t getting me yet. I fell to the floor blocking everything out and just focusing on him, my Jay.

A sob escaped my lips as I held my hand over my mouth to stop me from sobbing more. Tears flowed through my eyes as my skin began to sting from the salt in my tears and my cheeks become wet.

“P-please,” I sobbed not knowing what in specify I was asking for.

“Sweetie, come with us, you can see him again,” A women around my mom’s age said kindly offering me her hand. I looked up at her through my wet eyelashes and nodded.

I wiped away the tears and took her hand. She smiled brightly at me and led me out of the door. She brought me to a large black van and opened the doors of the boot open. I gulped and hoped it only for them to slammed shut and be consumed in darkness.

All I could think of was Jay as the engine roared to life and I was taken away to a place I could only hope answered my prays.

My hands moved down to my slightly hard belly and tears slowly dripped from my eyes. I could only hope.
