The van came to a rough halt, hauling me forward at the force of its sudden stop. I gulped as the doors were busted open and brightness blinded me for a few seconds as my eyes tried to focus.

Two men grabbed my arms forcefully and brought me out of the van. I anxiously looked around my surroundings to be met with a abandon looking warehouse with a high raised wired fence perimetered around it with nailed shut windows and chipped old bricks.

They dragged me forward as I searched the woods on the other side of the fence for Marci and Chad and panic began to rise in me as there was no sight of them.

It’s ok boss, we got it covered. A voice informed me entering my head, something I had never had before.

I looked around trying to locate it and eventually I spotted two figures in the distance poorly hidden by the trees.

Get down before someone sees you, I snapped back and instantly they ducked out of my sight. When I had said those words I found myself feeling some sort of authority in my tone, like I was intimidating.

The men dragged me through a rusty metal door and then I picked up the scent of wolves like me but it was weird. Surely there wasn’t that many wolves in our small town. I took a massive sniff trying to identify all the different scents but there was so many.

They turned me down a corner and then another and then another. I couldn’t keep track to where I was going as we stopped in front of another rusty door with Oakwood pack higher ranked written on it with messy white chalk.

They opened the door and dragged me in. I looked around franticly in search for Jayden but instead I saw my mother’s swollen dirty face with her hair in rags just staring at me in panic.

Anger rose in me as I noticed the fresh cuts in her skin and bruises along her arms and they weren’t just any small bruises they were big and purple with faint yellow around the outside. Which meant only one thing they had done that to her.

I snarled furiously as my mother desperately tried to shake her head to stop me but I could see even that small gesture caused her so much pain.

“What did you do to her?” I growled accusingly letting the authority once again come back into my tone.

The men looked a little taken back at my tone as I looked at my mother in worry but still their grip remained.

“I said what did you do to her?” I shouted pushing them off of me and rushing over to my mother’s side.

A tear fell from her eye as she shook her head again. “P-please Lauren-n clam down,” She begged helplessly using little of her strength. I shook my head as I began to pull at her chains.

“Back up needed for Oakwood pack higher ranked,” The man said and I growled lowly and turned away. The man’s eyes flashed with fear for a second as I stalked towards him.

I bared my teeth as I could feel the need to shred blood. The man next to him stumbled back and within seconds I lunged myself at them.

I threw each of them to the other side of the room the sound of their heads smacking against the cold stone walls.

I rushed back over to my mother and once again started tugging at the chains. “Y-you’re so s-strong,” She muttered her eyes half shut as she fought to stay awake.

“I’m going to get you out of here, I’m going to get everyone out of here,” I promised turning around looking at the others at the last bit.

I ripped one of the bolts out of the chains but then only to be interrupted by the sound of the door creaking open.

I turned around to face my oncoming opponents as I glared hard into an old man’s eyes. He was surrounded by men and I snarled giving them a chance to back away so I didn’t have to waste my energy on them.

Two men approached me and I swiftly grabbed both of them and threw them to the floor so hard I might of put a crack in it.

More men moved towards me and I lunged forward. Sinking my teeth and claws into anyone I could get to.

All of a sudden I was held by an invisible force, as I was lifted into the air and retreated from the men I was attacking. I looked over to the old man as his eyes turned a greeny blue, he moved his hand towards himself and along with it came me.

I tried to struggle but it felt like a weight of bricks were piled on top of me as I just about managed to breathe.

“You’re a strong one aren’t you?” The man said cocking his head to the side. I snarled but the man put up his other man and my mouth was forced shut.

I frowned my eyebrows together and I tried to open my mouth but couldn’t. Whatever this guy was, he was strong.

“Jackson get the shot,” He ordered one of his men and they nodded quickly pulling out a needle type thing and slowly approached me.

I shook my head as I was so badly trying to get out of this spell he had on me and I could see my strength was hard to control even for someone as powerful as him.

Jackson reached up and I felt a sharp pinch go into my arm. Seconds later I felt myself go weak and ridged and slowly I fell deep into sleep.

My head pounded as I felt my eyes slowly open, my arms, neck, legs and everything else ached as I felt my arms were tied above my head and my legs firmly chained to the wall I was against.

I let my eyes fully open as I met the most gorgeous brown eyes I had missed so much. “Jayden,” I whispered.
